The AMC Movie Marathon was fantastic and simply amazing as I enjoyed the energy leading up to TFA.

I am wondering if we are going to see a Marathon for Rogue One....

I would assume if we did it would look something like this.

    Rogue One
    Star Wars
    (ANH) @7PM

    or

    Star Wars (ANH)
    Rogue One @ 7PM

If I was AMC, I would do this as these two will have an amazing connection.
It would be a great way to RELEASE the Theatrical Cut *cough* of STAR WARS.......

" Can it be done?" - Palpatine

Do you all think it would be a good idea?

I don't think that they can do ANH due to rights issues unless it's cleared by Fox, but it would be cool to have a prequel trilogy marathon prior to R1 .

I think that this would make the most sense, what with it's place on the timeline and all.
I'm not sure that it would be worth it though (to Disney at least), especially if R1 doesn't reference the prequels that much (as it almost undoubtedly won't, vague reference to the Clone Wars or the Jedi Purge are all I'm expecting).

TFA was different. Not only was it the first film in ten years, but it was also a direct continuation of the story episodes I-VI laid out. R1 has neither of those things going for it.

Again, not saying I wouldn't watch it if a theatre near me did it (I totally would), but I'm doubtful that Disney would do so.

I don't think so because Rouge one is going to be a different kind of Star wars movie, its a side story. I think the main reason we got a star wars movie marathon in theaters for episode 7, was because of how long it had been since a main Star wars movie. It also gave people a refresher before watching The Force Awakens. I mean you can always have a star wars marathon before rogue one with your buddies, so there is nothing stopping you there.

I think they will show Revenge, Star Wars (ANH) and then Rogue One

    But that's just my take,,,

Good to hear from you @Chewy ;-)

Ya that would be pretty neat aswell. It would be kind of awesome to see and ending shot with the Tantive being chased at the end of the movie

Thanks man :), ill make sure to disscuss my thoughts and opinions in the Cantina.

I own all the movies, no need for a movie marathon, therefore I would prefer to drive an AMC Matador instead.

Sorry for bumping up the topic, but I suggested a marathon for Rogue One with the prequels before Rogue One, and AMC said they would look into doing it!

Disney would never show the prequels ever again unless it's for the main movies.
