    No. You want to know why? Because it is still Star Wars. The prequels never made me quit (I like them), so Rey's lineage will certainly not change that.

    No, but I will be disappointed.


    My problem with Rey not being a Skywalker is the fact that if she's just a daughter of random people that means Ben is the only new skywalker. And I can't see a beautiful and bright future for him after IX (I hope I'm hugely mistaken)... and I think he's gonna die at the end of the trilogy, thus ending the Skywalker family.

    My only hope is that video where George asks JJ "what happened to Darth Vader's grandchildren". Grandchildren!

    Not a huge deal, but I'm trying to see which direction the overall story goes. Ben's redemption and the end of the Skywalker line? How does Rey fit into the overall saga, A jedi order continued by Rey and not by Luke, Leia, or Ben like the EU 'legends' had told? The end of the Skywalkers = the end of the Saga. We'll see.

    I don't see myself ever not watching Star Wars. While her lineage is great to speculate about, it does not make or break the saga. A good story can be told no matter what her lineage is.

    I won't stop watching, but i will feel like jj and his mystery box spent an entire movie to set up a very long con. The bait and switch of it would bother me and plenty of other viewers.

    In balance though, i have a pretty good amount of faith in the story group. If rey is not a Skywalker, they've considered those implications and i have to imagine they'd have a great story and reasonably thought out plan for the future of the saga.

    No, but if she isn't, i really question the decision by KK and the whole team to set up and continue the "Skywalker Saga" story around kylo after his acts in VII.

    I'm with Mcbee here. I also have faith in the story group. People have learned a lot since the prequels to understand how much fans appreciate a good story....

    I will never stop watching Star Wars. Ever.

    Would I be disappointed? Yes. I cannot bring myself to see Kylo Ben continuing the Skywalker legacy nor I can bring myself to see Skywalkers ending. But, who knows? Maybe they will blow me away with the amazing storytelling and, in the end, I wouldn't care who Rey is or isn't.

    Plus, there is always adoption. :p

    My feelings towards Rey as a character or the movie as a whole wont change if she isnt Luke's daughter. I just personally am intrigued by the story possibilities if she is.

    While the story possibilities are intriguing if she is Luke's daughter, I find the story possibilities even more intriguing if she isn't. There are no limits to the stories they can come up with if she is Rey random.

    this is a ridiculous poll- there will probably be people that SAY they'll stop watching it.. but there's no way in hell that anyone will just up and leave this entire universe because of that. even if rey was jar-jar's second cousin, people will still continue watching.
