Would it be a good idea to use deleted original trilogy scenes for Rogue One?

I have one idea to show Darth Vader in Rogue One

It will begin with this deleted scene with Vader going to see the Emperor

Then will lead into this scene.
Note: Of course the Hologram of the Emperor will have different words and possibly re-shot with new dialog. The new dialog could have the emperor saying "find those stolen plans at all cost, Vader"

Another scene that could be manipulated (with digital technology) would be this short scene. It could be made to

I would say no because I don't see how it would benefit the movie when they just as easily could just film a new scene. In fact the time and energy that would be spent updating, upresing and overall updating the footage would probably be more cost prohibitive than just creating new scenes.

Using (parts of) Luke's original intro in ANH as a post-end credits sequence in Rogue One would mean the galaxy to me. By the Whills, make it so! :D

I don't know how this one could fit into the context (that's Commander Number One next to Vader, Tarkin's personal Aide aboard the Death Star) and probably would need to be re-dubbed, again (first Holiday Special, now for another purpose), but it certainly is a great tour of the actual Death Star Studio set. ;-)

I don't see a point in it. I think they are better off filming new scenes.

Agreed. With todays technology they can do anything they want.

I only see this happening if the scene is identical to what is in the script. As in word for word, action by action. I don't see them digging up an old scene to go around what they have written.
