Milking creature is worst and waste of film space
    Best is Luke VS Everything.

Good film bad story in some parts.

Left movie down rather than optimistic.

I will never get the image of my childhood hero milking a sea cow out of my head. I have to admit that is pretty gritty directing. Effective. BeardedSeal_RB.jpg

    Oh Luke! Come milk me.

    - to my surprise, Holdo being spastic with lightspeed was way cooler than I thought
    - Kylo ren/Rey dynamic was cool
    - their fight vs the guards
    - BDT's face after the betrayal (priceless)
    - Rey being portrayed as an idiot (her "reaching out" and Snoke's boomerang skills)
    - Kylo ren and Hux scenes
    - Luke Eastwood in the matrix

    - Nothing really stands out except this: We are the SPARK that will light the FIRE that will BURN the gas which will EXPLODE Into a SPEECH that 3 different CHARACTERS will have to REPEAT so that we can UNDERSTAND that at the end of the DAY they are the SPARK that will light the FIRE that will RESTORE the republic which will subsequently BURN the first order down.

The Best.....any scene with Luke Skywaker in it. Well apart from the milking a cow bit. Oh yes, and the rolling of the credits. I liked that, I could go home and cry.

The worst...the other 2 hrs of the film. Particularly the start with the very unfunny phone call thing...when you quickly realise that the film is certainly not going to go the way you think. I was in pain laughing. Or was I crying ?

If I was to pick the really really really worst moment (and there were many) then it has to be the laughable death of the most powerful figure in the universe. I mean seriously. It could not have been worse if they had Snoke walking down the steps from his throne, tripping over and banging his head. Or maybe a grand piano landing on him. Choking on a fish bone ??? Jesss.....people get paid millions to write this stuff.

I don't understand why people think Snoke was so powerful. He was overconfident, and was able to be killed by his apprentice. His verbal and mental abuse of the people that worked for him was the only thing that kept him in power. Kind of like Trump.

I liked when we first met DJ. But I didn't really like his character after that.

So many things to like. I can't just pick one.

    LOL

Bit careless leaving a lightsaber about with two jedi in the room. You would have thought one of the Praetorian Guards (or care home assistants) employed to protect him/bath him would have taken it off him so he did not get himself killed. Negligence on their part.

I was thinking, I don't remember any star wars film where a jedi could light the saber from a distance. Is this a new trick ??? Luke and yoda can't do that. Darth certainly could not.

They are making all this stuff up as they go along.

Its written pretty well if you look into it close enough.
    Simply put, Ren outsmarted Snoke.
When Snoke was telling Ren to kill Rey, he was looking in to his mind. His dialogue before he dies, saying "he turns his saber, ingnites it, striking down his true enemy" is all the things Kylo is thinking. Knowing Snokes power and ability, Kylo deliberately thinks these things. Everything he is thinking are his true intentions, but it is only when its too late for Snoke that we can all see who it was directed towards in the end.
And obviously we can all ask how Snoke didn't see through this still, which i can understand, but its still not stupid.

But if you can turn on a lightsaber at a distance then you can turn one off as well. So it makes a mockery of all the lightsaber battles we have seen in Star Wars. OB1 could have used the force to turn off Darth Vaders lightsaber during their battle and given him a good wack. End of Star Wars.

So basically now, you can't have anymore lightsaber battles in SW. Thanks Ryan.

So JJA has a right problem with Star Wars 9. No characters, no ships, no resistance and no lightsaber battles. SW 9 is going to be a remake of Mary Popins.

I literally remember being a kid and wondering why Luke didn't just spin the lightsaber around and activate it when it was by the Emperor in ROTJ.

And obviously Jedi's can push a button with the force. If Han and Finn can activate a saber with their fingers, of course it can be done with the force.

That's silly. Kylo can force freeze people. Does that mean we can't have a lightsaber battle with him because he'd just freeze the person he's dueling with?

Snoke can shoot lightning at people and read minds. Guess we can't have a lightsaber battle with him (oh wait).

An x-wing has repeatedly been able to destroy death stars, star destroyers, and planets. Guess the empire should stop trying to build large weapons or fight in space at all, because now there's no stakes. An x-wing can just blow it up.

And there's not exactly a defense against force choking, yet we still got lightsaber duels against Vader.

These are fantasy films. Suspend your disbelief a little.

I agree with your points, but turning on (or off) a lightsaber from a distance is a step too far given that lightsabers are central to star wars. It was careless writing which is why I voted that scene as the worst. You could debate why a light saber has an off button in the first place if you can turn it on with the force??? That would prevent anyone who is not a jedi using it and killing you.

And yes, Kylos powers are becoming a bit far fetched. If he was that powerful, why did not open the doors at the end of the film with the force. You can't have a super powerful being and useless one at the same time. Careless writing.

This is not trolling by the way. I just hate the film because it was badly written.

No, you have an inability to understand that a cool action beat doesn't somehow make a fantasy film any less plausible. How would the Jedi make a button than can be pressed on or off with fingers somehow impervious to the force?

The best. For me the entire thrown scene. Just incredible.

The worst, there were a couple of laughs that we could have done without to add more gravitas and impact to certain scenes.

Best: Kylo/Rey vs the guards, Luke and Leia reunion

Worst: Leia surviving in space (not that I wanted her to die. I wanted to see her use the force in some way, just surviving in space seems a little extreme. Yes, Jedi are powerful, but they are still human).

Bad: Milking..... lol’ed hard cause it reminds me of weird blast I saw in my travel in India. Sooooo tripped out.

Good: Team Kylo and Rey vs the guards.

Warm feeling: Seeing good ol’ Yoda again.

Cold feeling: Leia’s space walk. I had to look at the random strangers next to me. They were confused :/ :/ :/ ?!

People can survive in space for a little while. I don't know if it was really that implausible, especially given that she was a Skywalker.

If we had seen Luke jumping from star destroyer to star destroyer, holding his breath and slicing them to shreds with his lightsaber, I have a feeling people would have been willing to go with it.

Worst: Broomboi. We got it, the force can pop up on place you wouldn't have expected it. The film should have ended with the FO storming into the base.
Best: Godspeed and the explosion of f the Supremacy. That was utterly beautiful. Need a poster btw.
