    Ok:
1)agree with Mon Calamari,it was really boring , I don't remember it involving anything that made later impact in the show...
2)Don't remember the episode but the way it sounds it wasn't good either.Agreed.
    3)Lost you there on D-Squad...
I really liked it. It showed how the clones are trained and introduces important characters, notably Echo and Fives the latter was the main character in the Season 6 arc about order 66.It made impact on the series unlike the Mon Calamari arc that had NO impact on the series in whole.BTW Alderaan, you should try watching the D-Squad arc again.Maybe your opinion will change?Cheers!

Hm you might be confusing the episode arcs, or I'm remembering them wrong. The D-squad stuff was about the droids and that frog-guy, I thought. They did have that amnesiac clone trooper in there, but that was about the only good part.

I remember the episode or episodes you're talking about, the training episodes, and they definitely were good, I just can't remember what they were named.

Yah,sorry.I thought that D-Squad standed for Domino Squad. That arc wasn't really great so I agree with @Alderaan on this too.I only liked the last episode of that arc involving Gregor and his ,, last stand ".

I am sorry, but I like Colonel Gascon, he wasnt childish in the slightest.

He wasnt making wei5rd sounds, or stepping in poop, or doing silly jar jar things or kid movie things even slightly. Everyone is judging him solely based on his character design, which actually kinda plays a significant role in the characters psychology.

I thought he was actually a fascinating character and the whole ark was some of my favorite episodes...

Sorry that I actualyl gave the episodes a chance instead of ignoring them because of the character design.

    EDIT: Moderator Edit

There were a couple of Threepio/Artoo-focused episodes where they deliver aid to some planet and are when captured by tiny aliens... I hate silly things like that. Those two episodes also seem especially poor when you compare it to Artoo's solo arc in season 5 (I think?).

I hate Blue Shadow Virus and Mystery of a Thousand Moons. I can tolerate Jar Jar in The Clone Wars. But, the scientist was way over the top. The story is unbelievable. It's poorly written. Also, it should have been just one episode, but they decided to stretch it out and make it even worse. At the end of Blue Shadow Virus, you think the story is finished, but then you watch Mystery of a Thousand Moons, and they are like: "But wait, there's more!"

I'm watching the series now, and by and large I don't care much for it, although there are a few cool characters (Ashoka is growing on me a lot more than I had expected and the bounty hunters are rather swell).

Thus far, there's been one or two great episodes, a whole lot of ok ones, and then there are a few quite bad ones. The Mortis stuff (Season 3, ep.16-18) have been my least favorite arc; so much pointless exposition, so much pointless awesome, so much pointless melodrama, and the main characters are there only to be tools for completely uninteresting and unashamed cliche archtype characters. It tries to be symbolic retelling of the entire saga and its themes, reducing SW to a childish opera. Nope, I really didn't like this stuff! Hope things improves soon.

Having now finished the show, I want to add that although the first couple of seasons were largely a pain to get through, The Clone Wars really picked up c. medio-season 5 (or was it late season 4? I cannot remember exactly). I don't know what happened behind the scenes, but the quality of the writing, animation, and general vision of the show improved greatly.

I skipped quite a few episodes which gave me a shiddy vibe- (judging from the Netflix plot synopsis).

And after the previous (above) responses/posts, it seems that I'd made good calls!

...Besides, they're always there if I want to give them a look.

I skipped the D-Squad arc. The only problem it ever posed me was the fact that I didn't have any emotional attachment to Gregor when he showed up in Rebels, but he was only in for a couple episodes.

The Jarjar/Mace buddy arc was... weird. Jarjar having a girlfriend, the juxtaposition of the silliest character in the canon and the most straight-laced character in the canon, and Talzin's plot felt like something out of a 50s movie. Maybe that was intentional, but I still don't know how to process it two years on.

I don't remember the name, but it had R2 roaming through an odd desert planet. It made me think of some hippie drug trip. Weird man, weird.

"We were somewhere around Bothawui, on the edge of the desert, when R2D2 began to take hold...." ;)

(Google tells me the episode is called "Downfall of a Droid" and the desert world was Bothawui).

You're thinking of "A Sunny Day in the Void". It's a part of the D-Squad arc that comprises many of the least-liked episodes in the show's history. And "Missing In Action", which is considered a saving grace for the arc due to the presence of Gregor.
