Worst Episode (In your opinion)

I think I have to go with the resurrection of Darth Maul. That one is what I like to refer to as a "just kidding" episode.

 

I think it was supposed to be an homage to the "Droids" cartoon. R2 and CPO got into some weird s**t in that show. I would know, I remember owning a VHS tape of one of the arcs when I was a kid.

 

You can see full episodes on youtube. The only one I haven't found is the Great Heap. I think it was an hour long movie set up

 

I think mine was the compilation of the "Prince and the Pirates" arc.

 

For me, the worst is "The General", the second episode of the Umbara arc. Why? Because it was pointless. It didn't add anything that wasn't in the first episode. It was just more of Krell being a thick skulled jerk who doesn't care if his troops die and gets pissy when his troops disobey is stupid, suicidal orders. You can skip it and not miss anything.

It has the one time I can think of where Jar Jar did something intentionally and also didn't anger or annoy me.
And me saying something nice about Jar Jar caused the apocalypse, I hope you're happy.

This is when I started to lose interest in the show. I didn't care too much for the story and it took FOREVER to end.

This can also describe the Prequel Trilogy, more or less.
Yeah, it was way too easy.

The only clone in Rebels that I have an emotional connection to was Rex. Mostly since my favorites were mostly dead (being in Domino Squad painted a target on your back, didn't it?).

 

In hindsight, that name really was setting them up to fail.

 

The last couple of episodes in the series, not counting the unproduced ones, were some of the worst in my opinion, too.

 

Indeed, they are bad when compared to the show as a whole, maybe the right term is 'worse than'. I never understood how one can be a Star Wars fan without seeing TCW and Rebels.

 

Are you referring to the Yoda arc episodes? I personally thought those were some of the most interesting episodes of the series.

Well. To each their own. The fact remains that those episodes basically undid midichlorians as a "scientific" justification of the Force.

 

I honestly rpeffererd the scientific aspect of the midichlorians .

 

Word! Personally I loathe the Mortis arc, but there are people who regard it the best to ever come out of the Clone Wars series. Nothing wrong with that, (even though it is madness to think so *just kidding* ).

Um... To whoever did this, don't give a trolling mark to someone (@AstromechRecords) when they're voicing an opinion in deliberate 'voice your opinion' thread! There is nothing troll-worthy about prefering the midichlorians to the mysticism explanation of the Force; it might be a weird stance but it is clearly a valid opinion.

I frequently disagree With AstromechRecords, and I might even have given him a yellow or red mark now and again (can't remember), but the above statement was clearly not worthy of a "trolling".

 

I bought TCW Boxset the other day and I'm watching the series from scratch. I've only seen a handful of episodes beforehand so I'm really enjoying this series so far.

I've pretty much equally enjoyed all of them so far and I'm onto the 4th disc of Series 1. I've heard things really pick up Season 2, so I'm looking forward to that.

 

The thing that bothers me about TCW is the way the show (especially the early seasons) aired episodes out of order. Yes, the arcs happened in chronological order, but trying to watch straight through really messes up your chronology within the overall show.

 

Not sure what you mean by ""scientific" justification of the Force". Did you think the midi-chlorians were why the force exists?

 

For me, the worst episode was Jedi Crash. Not that the episode was bad or anything but me loving so much the Amanin and then seeing that planet Maridun was featured but that instead of the Amanin they gave us King Julian's family was totally a slap in the face. I know that maybe the animators couldn't work out how to properly animate the Amanin but then why not change the planet name and make it a totally unkown planet? But no! Let's make a bunch of Lemurs and name them the Lurmen and have them imitate the Amanin by rolling into balls and everything! As I said, on terms of plot it was a good episode but on terms of what they did regarding the Amanin, it sucked. It's like if they ever decided to feature Ithor or Devaron and they never showed us a Ithorian or a Devaronian!

 

I'm with you regarding the dumb trolling mark. There is one thing with not agreeing with someone but giving a fellow poster a troll quote just because they don't agree with him is just darn rude.

 

I loathe the D-Squad arc, the Duel of the Droids pair, and TCW movie. I don't really like too many of the episodes/arcs from the first two seasons of the show, but these are the only ones I really count as bad.
