Would anyone be interested in Lucas coming back for an episode of the Ahsoka series?

I know the likelyhood of it happening is small to begin with, so let's just roll with it. Ahsoka is a creation from Lucas and Filoni. If any show or project I think Lucas would have any interest in, it would be Ahsoka. Personally, I'd love Lucas to return to some capacity. So, maybe this is a test? I dunno.

While I certianly wouldn't object to Lucas doing an episode, I would much rather they use the shows as vehicles to cultivate new talents. Lucas was never my favorite director anyway although he's a fantastic contents creator. Still, we do like nostalgia so having him involved in an episode in any way, shape, or form would probably be quite cool.

Absolutely, I'd love for George to be involved!

This all exists because of his brilliance and originality, some people seem to forget that.

Agree with @Angelman ..... reading "The Making of Star Wars" (the original movie) has shown me that Lucas is really a pretty bad writer (he says many times in the book that he hated script writing , that is why he reached out in 1975/76 for help). He is a visionary, not a "down in the trenches" guy

    HOWEVER.....

The nostalgia factor alone would be enough for me to see him back at the helm of an episode.

Can you imagine how the internet would blow up????

I think Lucas' writing gets picked on too much and the fact that he has admitted he hates writing makes that easy for a lot of people. He's far from perfect but he's able to tell great stories. His biggest sin as a writer is probably not having the rebel base be targeted by the Death Star in ANH. It's unfathomable to me that it was only added after the fact by the EDITORS!

To answer the question though, sure, why not?

I wouldn't mind it at all. Heck, I think Filoni does his best work when paired with Lucas. The two work so well together because they bring out the best in each other. Filoni forces Lucas to become more practical and less dogmatic about what is, instead focusing on what can be, while Lucas forces Filoni to turn abstract things and ideas into reality.

As a fan of George Lucas I'd watch anything he decides to do in Star Wars again.

Heck yeah, I’d like Lucas back for this, or anything for that matter. If he does not direct, at least use his scripts for Underworld and the young Palpatine arc.
However, the man is retired and Disney needs to learn how to raise this child on their own without “grandpa” stepping in for pointers.

I am always interested in George Lucas consulting, doing story treatments, and general idea crafting.

I probably never will be terribly interested in him directing human elements or writing a script again.

Well. He was on set for The Jedi episode of The Mandalorian so, having him around doesn't seem to hamper any quality creativity. I don't know to what extent his involvement with that episode was but I do know this, that blast was dope. Bad ass female jedi with two white lightsabers kicking ass in the opening scene? C'mon now. Rosario Dawson absolutely nailed her performance. She was the very definition of edge and gravitas. She was dangerous yet kind and wise and above all, not force lightning perfect and that for me is a plus that sticks out like the symbol for Red Cross. Whatever George and Filoni are up to even if it's just sipping coffee and discussing Grogu's hygene then they need to keep doing just that because it obviously works. There's an old saying. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

    Side Note:
For me people of color who kick butt in star wars occurs not often enough and way too few and far in between (Mace Windu a plus/enter GeorgeLucas. Finn definitely a minus). After three movies of watching the character of Finn, who had enormous potential to have one of the greatest story archs in the franchise ever, get thrown into the watered down sidekick comedy slot over and over throughout the whole damm trilogy, it's a breath of fresh air to finally have a star wars character played by a black actor or an actor of color be actually taken serously and be a force to be reckoned with. I'm loving the Fav/Filoniverse.

I think Lucas was just there for support. I don't think he gave any creative advice.

I mean sure, but it’s not gonna happen. He might get to help out a tiny bit like he did in Solo though.

Most probably Dave Filoni will talk to him and ask for some ideas/tips/advice or smthg else. Would be nice if he ends up being credited as a consultant.

yes definitely. as long as he's not writing dialogue and directing the actors his contribution would be awesome.

Yes! Lucas is if Star Wars was a person. He would add so much to any series. Not only is he a walking encyclopedia, but his mind is the mind where Star Wars was conceived. You can only get a positive outcome from him working on anything Star Wars related if you ask me

I would be happy with George Lucas coming back to direct an entire season of Star Wars or an entire trilogy of films. But the poor old man is retired, let him enjoy his retirement.
With that said, he can offer notes to the team which I wish they would accept.
And I’m still interested in that desk-full of notes and ideas, not just for SW but other projects. It’s maddening that he doesn’t these ideas see the light of day.

Question for anyone: would you read a book published by George Lucas if he were to release his entire fleshed-out idea of VII, VIII, and IX?

I would love to know what GL thinks of the current state of SW and anything else on his mind would be very interesting read.

I have no interest in Lucas or this character. I'm tired of her being shoehorned into everything, especially post ROTJ stuff.
