I have recently rediscovered my interest in Star Wars after having seen its influences in Warhammer 40K and other media and I have heard of a comics series called Star Wars: Legacy that began publication by Dark Horse from 2007.

I have heard positive things about this series and so would like to know your thoughts on this series and whether it is something you would recommend.

I like it, but it might not be for everyone. It's also not the best Star Wars story around IMO, but it's interesting and the characters are pretty cool. Cade is an amalgamation of Kanan Jarrus and Anakin Skywalker. For reasons that the story gets into, Cade has walked away from the Jedi path. But that won't stop Cade's enemies (or his past...or his own, stupid mistakes) from following him wherever he goes. Cade's bloodline, rare powers even for a Jedi, and natural connection to both sides of the Force make him a powerful ally for either side...assuming one can get him to use the Force for anything but his own gain.

Overall, Cade's an interesting and relatively complex character. I prefer Legacy II myself, but that's because I see the seeds of the ST (and the seeds of what could have been) there.

I would, granted I never finished it myself, only getting roughly half-way through before my comic shop really started lagging on getting new issues; I also had limited funds at the time ( I was in 8th or 9th grade when it started). I enjoyed it though and it's the only comic series I've ever followed (from any franchise). It's definitely got a different feel to it than other EU content, but I thought it was interesting and overall good.

Finish this, you must. And Legacy II as well.
