...we'll see in 2 years how close we will get to the real one and if someone could do better than JJ ;)

    Here's mine:

    Episode IX: The Rising Tiranny

6 years have passed since the destruction of the Resistance. After having extended its control over 75% of the planets in the Galaxy the First Order has been reorganized into the Second Galactic Empire by Supreme Leader Kylo Ren that now calls himself Emperor. With the help of his new apprentice ##### (insert random name here) and his loyal followers the Knights of Ren, Kylo is obsessed to find and to eliminate the last Jedi, Rey, that in the meanwhile has managed to shut down their force connection for good. Kylo doesn't know that Rey has managed to rebuild the Skywalker lightsaber and, with the help of her new apprentice ##### (insert 2nd random name here) and her former master Luke Skywalker, appearing to her sometimes as a force ghost, has managed to discover a fundamental secret about the Force that could change everything and giving them a chance to bring the New Empire down. They will have to travel to the far end of the Galaxy where in an old Sith temple there are clues to master this secret. In the meanwhile the new Rebellion founded by Poe, Connix, Finn and Rose (with the help of Leia) is working underground to acquire the secret location where Emperor Kylo Ren lives, to provide Rey with the information at the right time. (the location will be discovered as Vader's Castle on the planet Mustafar). Admiral Hux is in fact in charge of the Empire military forces while Kylo Ren location is hidden for unknown reason and he communicates with Hux, his apprentice and the Knights only by hologram projections. Just before the beginning of the movie however a mysterious extremely powerful manifestation of the Force will tear apart a planet in which a rebel base was rumoured to be, and in fact was: General Leia was in charge of that base and she will die along all the rebels present on that planet. Some days later in another secret rebel base a funeral ceremony will be provided for Leia and the other rebels died with her and the last 2 events will be among the first scenes of the movie.

The First Order battles with a rebel fleet at the very start of the film, and Kylo is critically injured when The First Order fleet is taken out. His Star Destroyer is the only one left, X-Wings and bombers surround it and start to blow it to pieces.. Kylo is partially blown up and loses his legs. Hux lands in a shuttle, and takes Kylo away.

We now cut to a scene in a new Rebel base, Poe reveals through his dialogue that the rebels now have numerous bases (full of hundreds of recruits) and meanwhile.. we cut to Rey.

She's in a cave, we see her battle a giant Rancor.. it falls and behind it we see a mound of force crystals. She puts a few of them in her satchel.

We cut back to the base with Finn, looking concerned.. as Rose lays on a medical bed, smiling at him.. *insert 2 minute romantic dialogue exchange* blah blah blah..

Anyway, we now cut to a masked Kylo, being raised in a chair.. with a new partially robotic body, as Hux looks on.

YES IT'S A RIPOFF OF THE VADER SCENE FROM EPISODE III, get over it..

    "Lord Ren...." Hux says nervously.

Suddenly, the room starts shaking.. and Hux is force choked to death hilariously. Kylo stands and looks to his right, to another FO officer. "You have until the end of the day, to assemble our greatest warriors. Do not fail me."

We cut back to Rey, levitating lightsaber components with the force, while a force ghost Luke looks over her shoulder.. *VROOOOOOM* she ignites the sword and it lights the cave in orange.

That's the first 10-15 minutes, can't be bothered to do the rest.. had fun doing it anyway :D

I'm not going to write a plot but I will drop some ideas:

    - - titel: - Skywalker's legacy- a bit cheesy but okay
    - 2/3 years after The Last Jedi
    - Stormtrooper revolt incited by Finn
    - Hux as a temporary and unlikely ally of the resistance - the resistance needs him to knock out Kylo. He needs them to become Supreme Leader
    - The Knights of Ren and Kylo seek something? Eternal life? Vader's castle mustafar. In any case they must be planning something big.
    - Finn dies, Kylo kills him. Rey defeat's Kylo, brings Finn back. Rey dies. :'( ???
    - When Kylo dies he sees his mother and father
    - Kylo haunted by Luke's force spirit.
    - The biggest battle in Star Wars history: air and ground, the resistance and its allies versus the first order. A bit like Jakku, but on screen and with a thorough battle narrative. Poe's narrative. He leads the resistance after all. A part of the stormtrooper corps joins the resistance.
    - Rey visits walker home on Jakku
    - something with......clones. Kylo likes Clones, Hux doesn't. Apparently.

huh. this is an interesting curiosity.
if there is enough Centrist support, it's entirely possible Hux could lead a faction that would reject the new Supreme Leader, fracturing the power balance.

who would the remnants of the Resistance then support?

Apparently, if you kill the legitimate supreme leader you have a problem. That why Kylo said: "the girl killed Snoke". Kylo needs someone some one from the outside to do his dirty work and claim credible legitimacy...........or something in that vein:p

even so, he's claimed the title and i don't see Hux liking that too much.
likewise, the FO as a whole knows he's unstable and surely plenty think he is unfit to rule.
wouldn't take much to fracture this organization.

This is my pitch for Episode IX:
    LOGO_IX.jpg

    - set 3-5 years after the events of TLJ
    - three plots with the following constellations:
    > Kylo Ren, KOR and Hux
    > Finn and Poe (maybe Rose too)
    > Rey and an apprentice (maybe Luke too)
=> all three plots are linked together

    - Kylo Ren is established as the Supreme Leader of the FO, General Hux is his right-hand man now. Kylo Ren doesn't care about the activities of the FO, he just wants to find Rey (he tries to contact her with their force bond, but it doesn't work). Hux is focused on finding the Resistance. Hux is scared of the Resistance reforming their forces.
    - The KOR play a huge role in this movie. One of them will be used as a villain for the Finn/Poe plot.

    - Rey is traveling space and is looking for Jedi lore and FS people. She is accompanied by a young apprentice and the spirit of Luke Skywalker. Her main goal is to grow in her powers and to find a way to defeat Kylo Ren.

    - Poe and Finn are trying to rebuild the Resistance and are looking for help. With success! Their forces grow everyday. Finn also develops a risky plan to destroy the FO. Finns wants to stifle a revolt in the FO, mainly because he wants to save some of his fellow Stormtroopers.

=> These are the three main plots of this movie.

The movie would open with Hux approaching Mustafar and Vader's castle. Kylo Ren is using his grandfather's castle as his personal throne room. It's not used as a FO base. Kylo Ren is watching his knights train, but he seems to be distracted. He's thinking. He's trying to reach out to Rey, but he can't find her. Hux enters and updates Ren about the situation of the FO and the Resistance. This scene should show their tensed relationship. A relationship which will play a huge part in the movie.

    That's it for now...

    Some further notes:
    - Snoke is definitely dead
    - Luke won't have a big story in this movie
    - Leia should be recast, but her role is minor
    - Anakin's force ghost needs to appear

    - Film starts with Leia’s funeral.
    - Renperor on the war path but is as miserable as ever. Flanked by his KoR.
    - Rey training new generation of Jedi. The Resistance has grown and the galaxy is in a state of civil war. Impasse.
    - Rey and Ben haven’t connected since TLJ.
    - Finn has established a secret link to the FO and is actively persuading Stormtroopers to switch sides.
    - Hux is being treated like a dog and plots to usurp Ren.
    - Hux conspires with Finn and sets a trap for Ren.
    - Finn and Poe take down Kylo Ren and he is badly injured. Rey goes to his aid - to their dismay. She takes Kylo with her, leaving the Resistance.
    - Under Hux, the FO are relentless. They set fire to the galaxy without conscience. The KoR desert Kylo and serve Hux.
    - The Resistance struggles to hold the FO back.
    - Rey cannot get through to Kylo.
    - The KoR attack Rey’s students, attempting to draw Rey to them. Rey leaves Kylo. The FO commit unspeakable acts and Hux finds that the galaxy is turning against them. He gets desperate and uses a weapon that will essentially destroy the entire galaxy.
    - Finn leads a revolt and the FO turn on Hux. Meanwhile Rey battles the KoR.
    - Anakin appears to Kylo. He tells him of his failures, of how he lost Padme.
    - Finn destroys Hux but the weapon has done too much damage. A black hole forms and all appears lost.
    - Ben Solo returns. He and Rey defeat the KoR and embrace. They then unite their power and stop the black hole using the Force. It kills them both but they die together...in peace.
    - The galaxy comes together and is at peace.

    Maybe.

i'm going to double-down on this.

it's a few years later (not many).
we're in a state of cold war.
Ben has not furthered the FO's agenda, nor stalled it exactly.
there's talk of mutiny (Hux is plotting).
Ben crashes his mother's funeral in a state of profound grief.
he discovers something there (a final message, perhaps), that puts him in a tailspin: it's finally now, indeed, too late.
Rey tries to reason with him. they have an epic battle to appease whiners, but finally stop themselves short: what are we doing?

Ben goes back to the FO to try to turn things around.
Hux, takes this moment of weakness to seize power.
the war of all wars erupts.
at first Rey thinks Ben betrayed her.
then she realizes she has to rescue him.
    that's act one.

after that, Ben spends much of the movie sorting out his damage with Anakin or Luke or whoever while in some kind of Force prison.
maybe Rey can Force Skype him now and then.

rest of the movie is about Poe, Finn, and Rey together on this rescue operation.
they fight the war of all wars, and ultimately once Ben is saved, Rey and Ben neutralize the threat by combining their powers somehow.

insert all the Force baloney and weird space monsters you want/need.

I have some thoughts. No full plot yet.

These are simply things I think I would do, not things I expect to see. I might add more as I really have time to think about it.

    - Rey now goes by Rey Skywalker. She uses her falsified status as the "daughter" of Luke Skywalker to help recruit members of the new Jedi Guard.
    - Leia is dead at the beginning of the film. Her funeral takes place on a small moon/nature preserve that has the remnants of Alderaan flora and fauna.
    - Kylo Ren has found a valuable ally in Hux. Hux sees himself as a puppet master to a very unstable, but very, very powerful Supreme Leader Ren.
    - Kylo is haunted by the ghost of Luke, it is unclear whether this is actually Luke or only in Kylo's mind.
    - Poe is leading the Resistance, but dies midway through the film and by chain of command Finn takes control.
    - Finn and Rose are not together. There are indications their relationship flourished but came to a tragic end, things are tense, especially with him now leading the resistance.
    - Kylo has sent the Knights of Ren looking for Rey and her new Jedi.
    - Once found she will be revealed as a fraud as Skywalker's daughter by the Knights of Ren, his former students.
    - At this point Luke will reappear centered between the Jedi he failed (KoR) and Rey's new and very confused Jedi.

Finn and Rey belong together. She looked a bit jealous now did she when she saw Finn and Rose. The fly boy will do for now. But nothing compares to the raw and untamed power of Kylo Re..................................okay

.......... and that just came out of my head, a hetrosexual man in his early 30s. I should totally write Fifty Shades of Rey

I do think it is very interesting that we see that one of her biggest fears is essentially being alone and it is being set up that she will eventually make a choice as to who she wants to be with, if its anyone.

I feel like they were heavy hinting that Poe could be interested too.

Kylo, Finn, Poe...You have so much potential for "Fifty Shades of Rey" book series. HAHA

Kylo Ren is the Emperor of the Galaxy for 10 years now. Almost every known planet is under the Empire rules but he's getting bored. Since the last events of Crait he lost the link with the only being worth him, Rey and he's bored.

He sent so many missions, so many troopers to find her and they never found anything. He's meditating in the throne room trying to get that link back once again and there's nothing. The girl is gone.

    _____

Rey and the remaining resistance went parts away for their own good. Living in clandestinity on different planets. Poe turned into some private pilot, smuggling for different organizations, Finn and Rose live their life and having two babies. The second one is force sensitive
They talk about if they have to make him train with Rey on her secret location. Even them don't know where Rey is studying and teaching padawans to use the Force in his natural form.

    ________________________________

General Hux is still there, he's not the smartest but he's devoted to the first order and to the emperor, As much as Ren doesn't like him much, his loyalty is total.
Hux comes to the throne room and wait for the supreme leader to finish his meditation.

Kylo Ren suddenly feels something strong in the Force, he was too much focused on the lost girl and he flashed to something very intimate. He opens his eyes and see Hux kneeling in front of him.

Supreme Leader, I think this is my duty to inform you about an event you asked us to watch about.

I felt it General, I felt it ... Leia Organa, my mother has died.

Hux remained silent ( he didn't really know how the Emperor felt about his mother )

Tell me where her funeral will take place I will attend it with my personal guard. I will honor her, she was my mother. Secretly Ren was expecting to find some familiar faces at the funerals and why not, some news of the girl.

Hux kneeled again and says everything will be done as the Supreme Leader wish.

    To be continued.

I always loved the Orpheus motif in ROTS and the prequels. Anakin trying to prevent people from dying and hoping that joining the darkside and palpatine would help achieve it. Wouldn't it be lovely if someone would die in IX but that through an action that is completely empathic that individual is brought back.

For instance, Finn dies by Kylo's hand, but Rey brings him back. Or Rey sacrifices herself, dies, but there is the promise that she will come back (almost like the Arthur legend)

    Episode IX

Rey is looking for others, but how. Nothing can be done alone, even with the stolen books stashed under her bunk. They fly back to Maz Kanata’s bar. Where else do they have to go, a handful of rebels in an ancient ship. They sit at a table in the back, drinking bad ale. The tables all have little games stuck to the top, to make you stay longer and drink more beer. Dameron has been to this bar too many times and has a favorite game. It is reputed to be impossible, the regulars either can’t put it down or refuse to touch it. Dameron is incredibly proud of his trick, he can beat level one on a consistent basis. It flashes happily in his hands. Finn grabs it out of his hands. “It can’t be that hard, if you can do it.” He fails. The little toy is passed around. No one even gets as far as Dameron. He goes up to the bar, and starts complaining to Maz. “You should put me on the wall. I beat a level!” “You have to get past level two to go on the wall,” she replies tiredly.

The widget has landed on Ray’s lap. She doesn’t expect anything. But it seems easy. Just patterns, predicting what comes next. The lights flash. She doesn’t realize how far she’s gotten when finally the lights are too much and Poe comes back. “Can’t do it.” She hands it back. “Sithspit!” Poe shouts. The little number on the side reads 13. Maz trailed him back, and pulls Ray up to take her picture. The regulars clap. Poe sulks. Maz sticks Ray’s picture to the wall. It has maybe fifty people on it. Ray runs her fingers along the wall. Leia and Han in one, 11. Her smug, and Han glaring at the floor. Poe stands behind her. “Han could never get past level one either.” The pictures are in no particular order, having been pulled off for a closer look too many times. Some of them are signed, mostly faded ones, of men and women in rough brown vests. Ray doesn’t recognize the names. Eventually, she comes to one of Ben, 13. Han looks resigned this time. A twi'lek with a ten. A signed picture of an auburn-haired man, 12. A few later of a blonde man, perhaps a year older than Ray, holding a widget that seems to have given up and obviously laughing. The redhead looks annoyed next to him. This name she recognizes. Skywalker. An Anakin. She wishes Luke wasn’t dead, and he isn’t on the wall. Ray looks puzzled, and comprehension dawning glances at Maz.

Poe is still complaining to Maz. Eventually, she puts down the glass. “It’s an adept’s toy, an ancient one from before there were Jedi or Sith. You were never going to beat it, Poe. The best fighter pilots are a little bit sensitive, but they never make it past level one.”

“What exactly is this,” Ray asks. It tests precognition, the lights are random, and you just have to know what comes next. It’s simple, just a little chip and a few buttons. You could make a thousand of them from just about any pile of random junk. Leia leaves, to talk the high and mighty into sending more men and ships, Ray makes widgets. The millennium falcon drops them off at bars all across the galaxy, with instructions on how to make more. They are entertaining little boogers, and no one even notices the beacon that only activates when someone passes level two. Billions play. A handful of hits. Soon Ray is chasing ghosts, most gone before she arrives, but some are still around. The young kitchen boys and sweeper girls. A cook. A bartender. An old drunk that Rey leaves alone. Some come back, no real adults, they laughed her off, but children and teens, some in their early twenties.

The planet isn’t very populated, just a few little towns and one major city. The crumbling castle and the fields, forests, and mountains belong only to them. It is beautiful and the work is hard. Rey sometimes has to go inspire people for Leia. TRAINING MONTAGE.

Ren walks into a bar, and begins to whisper into some of the student’s minds. He finds their planet, but planets are large, and no one will tell him the location of the temple.

There is a saber-toothed monster terrorizing one of the towns. Rey is gone, but has drummed into their heads that they should help others when they can. It is large and strong, and they are scared, cornered in a cave. No way out. No way to call for help, except the one they dare not use. A force ghost appears. Anakin Skywalker, although none of the trainees know this. “There are worse things than asking for help. Pride is expensive.”

The trainees drop their shields and Ren finds them. The monster dies. He lets them lead him back to the temple, looking for more students. Rey has returned. Cue screaming match. Neither of them wants to start a fight in a room full of students, they are too valuable, but words are sharp. Eventually, “Would you both just shut up? I’m here to learn, from whoever will teach me. How about you both talk, and we choose for ourselves,” a voice pipes up. Both Ren and Rey agree, secretly hoping to turn the other.

Time passes, they train. The force is more forthcoming. Ren tells Ray the story of Snoke is Plagueis. Ray and Ren explore the techniques in the force books. Rey leads a mediation meant to ‘bring back the past’ whatever that means. She is hoping for her parents. He is hoping for Vader. Neither gets exactly what they wanted. Rey and the older padwans pull them into a group memory that they were all too young to consciously remember. SEE PADAWAN ANTHOLOGY. They talk about remembering their past and the Vader deal being talked about. Ren reevaluates the world.

An uneasy truce, a cold war. Leia has found more ships, but the First Order seems complacent, content to keep to its own borders, mostly imperialist worlds. The people on Cato Bight aren’t happy. No combat mean, no destroyed ships, means no more order, means no more money. They stir up trouble along the border, eventually blowing up the base Leia was attempting to negotiate peace terms on. Both sides blame the other. Rey knows by now Ren has decided to leave his mother alone, would not have ordered the attack. Ren thinks Rey is too soft even if it meant taking out most of the first order’s leadership. The thief from the last movie offers to sell information that it was the military-industrial complex behind it.

The first order and the resistance fight together for their right to make war on their own terms. Cato Bight wishes it hadn’t sold quite so many ships after all. But the funny thing about fighting together is its harder to kill each other after that. There is room in the galaxy for more than one system of government. Ren and Rey will never admit it but they have mellowed each other, no longer light and dark. Most of the padawans are something in-between. Ren and Rey kiss.

    Youngling Anthology

    1. Following movie rules, nobody is dead unless you see the body.
    2. Does anyone else think it is a bit odd that we don't see the younglings die? We see a lot of other people die. We see other children die. It would make plot sence to really drive the point home that there is no turning back.

“What should we do Master Skywalker, there are are too many of them!”

“Run. Run far. If I ever see any of you again I will kill you.”

Skywalker levitates a few of the bodies from outside and slices them into unrecognizable meat. No one would know. With the youngling training helmets left on the floor people would just assume.

They take the tunnels. The tunnels they weren't supposed to know about. A secret passed on from youngling to youngling that all of the masters must know about but carefully don’t acknowledge. On the way, they meet two padawans, also running. The tunnels lead out into a shady alley a few blocks away. One of the padawans thinks it was designed for a quick exit centuries ago. Their robes come off, tossed in the dumpster. White shirts and dark pants aren’t that conspicuous. One of the padawans starts mutilating the lightsabers. The precious crystals go into pockets.

The next few years are spent on the streets, using their skills to steal, occasionally being runners for the adult gangs. They see Darth Vader on the news, and aren’t stupid. Anger, but gratitude too. He didn’t have to let them go. All the same, they stay away from the upper levels and the temple district.

Eventually, they buy passage to Corellia. They are older now, wise in the ways of the streets. Gambling halls are easy to knock over, even for younglings. Their crystals stay in their pockets, or on little strands of rope around necks or wrists. They are a family now, a pack. Years pass, and they get attention from the bigger gangs. A talent for knowing things they shouldn’t, a bit too much strength behind every punch. But no one suspects, careful not to do anything too Jedi-like. Darth Vader keeps his promise. Every once and a while another familiar name dies on the news. He could find them, if he wanted, but they aren’t a threat, even they know it. It mixes with the gratitude and stings.

Eventually, they buy a ship, chase bounties. Finally, assemble a few lightsabres. The padawans knew how. It’s a dream of another time, they aren’t very good, but sparring is fun. No one ever talks about trying for Vader. They don’t take imperial jobs, and none are offered, even as Vader works with other bounty hunters, ones with a worse reputation. He knows who they are.

But nothing lasts forever. The second death star implodes, taking the Vader and the Emperor with it, and their deal. It makes them strangely nervous. But nothing happens. Luke Skywalker opens his ‘Jedi temple’ they talk a lot, but ignore it. It doesn’t have anything to do with them. But time passes, and they relax, have children. It is nice to have new people.

But Ben Solo and Snoke, the First Order. There is no more deal, and they must move slower now, with young children. Ben Solo killed the others at the temple. They hide in the outer rim, drinking in smoky bars and arguing. Split up. Hide the children. Hide them in places they will never be found, not in the few months they would be there. The sand of Jakku is hot and rough. “Hush Ray, we’ll come back soon.” A little girl tugs at too strong arms and screams at the leaving ship.

All across the galaxy, they show their powers. Little, unthreatening ways. But the response is crushing, from all around. Too many stormtroopers. They had always thought that even if they lost people, there would be someone to take the children and hide. But they were only ever younglings and there is no one else.

If the storytellers are really intent on breaking patterns with maximum surprise value, perhaps Kylo will not remain the leader of the First Order.

Perhaps he will abandon it or disband or destroy it as his quest moves him beyond military control and takes him deeper to Dark Side Force knowledge pursuit, perhaps on Vader's castle on Mustafar, and elsewhere.

This would really splinter the situation and perhaps even given the Resistance a better chance at overcoming the First Order.

Imagine Kylo on Mustafar declaring himself king of the galaxy. Like Snoke and Vader before him, he dispatches anyone who fails to accept him as their ruler, only he takes it to the next level, downing Star Destroyers and such through the Dark Side.

Rey can resist him, reject his rule, perhaps train others to do the same, and maybe talk some sense into him, along with Luke and Force Ghost Anakin.

Perhaps Rey might even rescue Kylo from a First Order coup, to really turn matters on their head (while hearkening back in part to the Anakin/Ben's rescue of Palpatine).

Simply to have Kylo as Supreme Leader does make sense, but sense at the expense of really taking things next level beyond First Order vs. Resistance.

Kylo seemed far more intent on advancing his own agenda with regards to Luke and Rey in TFA, and Hux even warned him about that.

Perhaps he could leave Hux in charge of the FO while he goes off to advance what he believes to continue his own Dark Side journey without the constraints FO leadership would produce.

Hux in charge would then produce a secondary concern for Kylo, especially if Hux decides he or the FO no longer needs Kylo.

Kylo then also becomes somewhat of the MacGuffin.

To make it even more interesting, to produce a sense of desperation, perhaps he is close to discovering all the secrets of Dark Side immortality (if any such thing could exist in this new Star Wars, even as such a thing was never thought possible in earlier times).

This could cause both the FO and the Resistance to scour the galaxy for Kylo, fearing the eternal threat he could become to all.

Perhaps Finn could be instrumental in helping to reverse the lifelong mind control of Stormtroopers and FO officers. Perhaps the FO could be awakened, en masse, to their fighting for the wrong reasons.

Imagine what a turnaround it would be if the First Order was overtaken by the Resistance, something which also rhymes back to the Prequels: the Republic when it became the Empire.

I've yet to settle on any particular possibilities for IX, but I think some of these concepts might have some potential if developed well.

Some great ideas here, I don't have a full plot but I do have a couple of ideas myself. Firstly I don't think that Snoke died in TLJ, when he tells Rey that he can see Kylo's every thought and that he could see him turn the lightsaber to strike down his true enemy. I believe Snoke knew Kylo was going to slice him, also just prior to that Snoke has Rey caught in a Force hold and I think he transferred his soul to her for a younger more powerful body. Below are some plot points.

Snoke still lives through Rey, manifests over time and Rey turns to the dark side.

Kylo learns of this and has no choice to work with the resistance to defeat SnokeRey.

Big reveal that SnokeRey is in fact Palpatine reincarnated.

Kylo defeats Palpatine and it is revealed that Kylo Ben is in fact the chosen one prophesied by the Jedi.
