There has been suggestion that Yoda will make an appearance in 'The Force Awakens'. I think it would be great if it was at a moment that really strengthened the flow of the film.

It's been discussed both here and in other web sources at length.

I think Oz being in London for a few days then claiming it was a "set visit" ;) really closed it.

Yoda as a force ghost may be in a brief scene but not a on-going character.
It's remote but I think Yoda will explain to Luke or maybe Rey-Finn why Snoke is so dangerous or how maybe Darth Plaguis ties Luke, Anakin, etc into it.

The huge cave in SE Asia was also used as a TFA location. This would look great in IMAX or ETX.

I think Luke communing with force ghost Yoda would be awesome at the end to help set up VIII. There might also be a few other sequences I could see a Yoda appearance fitted in that would be interesting.

there hav been rumors about this for a while.

I have suspected that is how tehy got frank oz in rebels, they just had him record some extra lines for the show while he wasin the studio.

I like the idea of Luke living with his Force ghost homies tbh.

I would rather prefer a CGI Obi Wan Kenobi force ghost with the look of the late Alec Guinness.
I'am against CGI, but in this case there is not much room for practical effects.
(Obi Wan was always at Luke's side and guided him)
Luke speaking with Yoda without Obi Wan ist not the real deal.
I would say we should get both or none of them.

If the force has lied dormant for awhile,or however long Luke has been out of it;then maybe it takes Yoda to snap him back.

Could be that Luke stopped even hearing Yoda or Obi Wan. Who knows

I think the same way and maybe Luke and Leia are no longer telepathy connected too.
Everything seems possible right now, we will find out in late dec.

Yoda is the legend and I really hope he will appear to communicate when Rey or Finn let the force in.

I hope he will there for at least a cameo. I also read the rumor last week and told my father while we were watching ROTS.
He as a less 'hardcore' SW fan also thinks Yoda should be in it. Yoda's been in 5 of the 6 films and I agree, Yoda IS Star
    Wars.

Would be great to see Yoda in The Force Awakens, he is an integral part of the star wars behemoth.

Seeing this thread made me stop lurking and join as this leads me to some avenue of intrigue of my own, which is are there any relatives of Yoda's who could be in existence anywhere ?

sorry if there is a Yoda investigation thread somewhere ?

There will be a moment where Luke is lured into a room under false pretenses of it being a private dance off with Yarna d'al Gargan, at that moment he enters the room as the sudden intense plot twist is unveiled with a force ghost intervention to bring Luke back

    I like CGI Yoda more.
Puppet was OK for OT during the seventies and early eighties.

But now I think they should stick with CGI.

Yoda looks like "WTF" a black guy under the Stormtrooper-armour.
I'am in the same camp, if Yoda returns in the ST it should be the old puppet or a new one at least. A Big NO to CGI!
The puppet looks more natural/smooth to me.
By the way it's better for actors to speak and interact with a real thing instead of talking to a green screen.
    yoda_luke.jpg
    CGI vs Puppet.jpg
I prefer the puppet it looks natural, the CGI looks off, I can't really describe it.
It's like the CGI is missing it's soul, the puppeteer breathe life into it and give it a soul and personality.
I know this sounds weird, but that is the way I see it.
