I doubt he will appear as a main role,
wish he did, he was the best part of the prequels, with his walking stick then suddenly doing flips and blast haha

    edit:
Anyone else think puppet Yoda looked perma stoned?

Lithgow did VO or voice acting for Yoda in a NPR version of The Empire Strikes Back.
The radio version was good. It filled in a few gaps between A New Hope(1977) & the first sequel.

Fun fact; Luke was promoted to the rank-title of Commander because the rebel officer at Echo Base was killed by a large asteroid as he landed on Hoth. Luke was next in line for the job.

One Question Keeps Coming To My Mind.............JEDI GHOSTS

We have the Jedi Ghosts, at least of Yoda, Obi-Wan and Anakin but who knows how many more will exist, perhaps even Palpatine? And they do seem to remain their conscience wich implies they still have the abilities they once had, like their memory, their skills, even the fact they can actually talk and have a conversation witn someone not being another ghost is a prove that the Jedi Ghosts ARE a lifeform in the philosophical way.

Despite that why they are treated like dead and forgotten limbs, didn´t Obi Wan tell Vader when he "killed" him "If you strike me down, I shall become more powerful than you can possibly imagine." If the Jedi Ghost exists as a living entity, if they are still Force powerfulls why does the storytellers keep on leaving them axay from the main narrative?

Maybe the Ghosts can't assume a biological form for some reason (i think if they assume a new host lifeform they actually kill or replace the living being of that lifeform and a good Jedi won´t do that, but an evil Sith could do much worse), but still with the SW technology will be a walk in the park to create some sort of robot or droid who actually could host a Jedy Spirit, just like a "mind prosthetic".

I know there will be no incarnation of Force Spirits on The force Awakens but nothing keeps them from appearing on the other movies, would this be good for the movies?

I don't think there will be any former ghosts in the film nor do I hope there will be.
Once they have achieved their function, they should then join the netherworld of the Force.
For me, if Anakin can just come and go and visit his son as a ghost then it completely removes the drama of Luke's loss in ROTJ.

I was having the exact same thoughts last week!!!

I wonder if all jedi can appear as force ghosts plus I was wondering do they only appear to those who are tuned in to the force and just to those who knew them ?

I was also wondering does the sith have the equivalent or same and I also wonder if the movie will shed any light onto these questions ?
