Your favorite scene(s)

Me, every time hux and Kylo are together .

 

There's so many. But the three that particularly stick in my mind:

Rey & Leia embracing while the rest of the Resistance celebrates their victory. No words are spoken, but there's no need. The shot is beautifully framed at the end, with the celebrations taking place on the left of screen, while Rey & Leia stand alone next to the Falcon.

The 'Force back' sequence with Rey.

And the final scene. Very powerful.

 

The last shot was an absolute stand out moment, a thing of beauty from a cinematic perspective. That glimpse of Luke too was amazing because in his face was dozens of questions about his role in the next film.

I thought of Joruus C'baoth when I saw him, not that I think he'll be evil, but possibly mad and Rey may need to bring him back to himself.



I loved when Poe was captured on Jakku and he's kneeling before Kylo and he's like "I don't know how this works, do I speak first? Do you?"

When Rey puts the smack down on Finn after BB8 tells her he stole Poe's jacket.

The X-Wing scenes
In the OT I hated the air fights, I thought they were boring. But in TFA I actually looked forward to them as they were so amazing in the trailers and together with the SFX it was mind-blowing. I really got caught into the action.

The friendships
May it be Rey and Finn maneuvering the Falcon together and cheering and complimenting each other afterwards or when Finn and Poe meet again in the base. It was really cool to see them to be so happy to meet again.

Kylo Ren
His first appearance, wow, what an entrance! My only thought: 'that's really a Star Wars movie, this is actually happening'.He immediately showed power and a menace to anybody trying to stand against the FO.

Rey vs Kylo
Everything from the moment Rey force grabs the saber out of Kylo's hand, their duel, Kylo trying to get her as apprentice, the Force awakening in Rey and her strength in the Force.Hands down my favorite scene of the whole movie. I liked Rey's fighting choreography, although Finn and Rey have never fought with a light saber, Rey just had more determination without looking like a pro at it. My only thought was 'please no severed hands' haha. And of course the breaking ground separating them. Maybe a symbol that Kylo is beyond redemption? We'll find out.

Rey meets Luke Skywalker
Even if he only had a few seconds but these seconds could make or break the movie. For me they absolutely made the film. I looked at my friend next to me, he looked at me and we both let out an 'oh yeah' when Luke finally removed his hood and revealed his face. Goosebumps over my whole body!

I absolutely can't wait to watch the movie a second time or a third time and enjoy these scenes even more.

 

There's way too many.

But the final shots absolutely killed me. Just so fantastic, and is a perfect end to act one for me.

That might be my second favourite after the final shot.

I love that whole fight scene, it was so much grittier and real compared to the bombastic flamboyance of the prequel fights.

i have to agree with you here, not over done with flips and tricks and drawn out in time.. i was thinking to my self, When Ren was out done by Rey with the force at any point did he wonder if the light side was more powerful?

 

When Rey gets the lightsabre, the music gives me the shivers (seen it twice, now).

It's the same piece as when Luke stares at the charred bodies of his Aunt and Uncle. The moment he accepts his fate.

 

The credits.

 

Me too.

 

All drivers scenes and most of rays esp. when she force pulls that saber, and learns the Jedi mind trick

 

I loved the Maz Cantina scenes, the flashback, the vulture hammering on the metalplate.... I love the whole movie, there is no favorite scene it was sooo amazing!

• When Rey fixes the Falcon and Han's just like "huh"
• Kylo going nuts on the console
• Hux's speech
• 3PO interrupting the Han/Leia reunion and reintroducing himself.
• the shot of Leia and Han backed by sunlight as they talk about her hair and his jacket.
• all the Snoke stuff, when you first think he is actually a giant and then it's just a hologram.. (ps...still think he's a muun...)
• BB-8 taking the cover off of R2 and bumping into him to try and wake him up.
• "Oh you're cold?"
• "Is there a trash compactor?" "Yeah there is."
• "Why are you doing that? What's this? I'm here trying to come up with a plan and you're--"
• "Ben!"
• the whole Han/Kylo scene...cried like a baby...
• Kylo punching his wound...that dude is off his gourd...
• Kylo making use of the exhaust on his saber to burn Finn
• Luke's saber flying past Kylo to Rey
• Rey owning Kylo and leaving her mark on him.
• Luke.

 

• Finn telling Rey he's part of the resistance
• BB-8 giving Finn the thumbs up
• 'Chewie, we're home'
• Finn and Poe meeting again at the Resistance base
• Luke's long hair and beard

 

oh I forgot one of the funniest moments, when Kylo is going nuts after Rey escapes and it just cuts to outside with crap flying out the door and the two stormtroopers stop, look at it and walk away. They're like "oh..Kylo's in one of his moods again."

 

I am not saying that is my favorite scene but I can say that the first time that I saw Snoke its the scene that impressed me more. At the time I tought: "the rumors were right. This guy is huge! How audacious are JJ and Kasdan creating a villain so tall and gigantic". But I was glad when I realized that was just an holocron....hehehehe
