For me it was the FORCEBACK scene. You have the set-up for what is needed with REY's battle against REN later.

    • Rey - "What was that? I shouldn't have gone in there"
    • Maz - "That lightsaber was Luke's, and his father's before him and now it calls to you!"
    • Rey - "I have to get back to Jakku"
    • Maz - "Han told me" (they hold hands) "Dear child, I see your eyes - you already know the truth. Whomever you are waiting for on Jakku, they're never coming back" Rey cries "but, there's someone who still could"
    • Rey - "Luke"
    • Maz - "The belonging you seek is not behind you, it is ahead. I am no jedi, but I know the force. It moves through and surrounds every living thing. Close your eyes, feel it. The light. It's always been there. It will guide you. The sabre - take it."
    • Rey - "I'm never touching that thing again, I don't want any part of this"
Later in the battle against REN...

When she felt all was lost and REN wanted to teach her the darkside it was then she listened to MAZ and let the FORCE in and kicked the crap out of him.

Such a POWERFUL scene set up by the MAZ earlier conversation with the FORCEBACK scene.

Adam Drivers performance during Han's death. I thought despite the fact that naturally you'd feel sad at the loss of Han seeing Kylo Ren's reaction and his eyes welling up really allowed me to empathise with him. Which in a sense is crazy. He just killed my favourite character but I felt sadder for him than I did Han. I thought Driver was immense and am really looking forward to seeing more of him.

I think all the new actors BROUGHT IT! I agree that flashback scene and Maz's interation with her after was most powerful. Chewie reacting to Han's death was also very good! STAR WARS IS BACK BABY!!!!!

I think the early scenes introducing Rey were the most powerful. It took no time at all in believing in the character and her personality. Particularly liked the scene where she's sitting at the village wash station scrubbing the parts she has scavenged, she then stares at an old woman and sees herself being in that same situation many years later in her life if her parents do not come to rescue her.

All of it. I thought the Luke scene at the end was powerful. I really, really enjoyed Finn's confession to Rey, and when Finn and Poe reunited.

    90% of Ren's scene's were powerful

But my favourite has to be Rey's scene with mind probe with Ren, the stormtrooper mind trick scene, and the scene where she force pulls the lightsaber to her.

For me - Han's death scene hand down. Beautifully acted by both Ford and Driver and Han touching his son's face as he was being murdered by him was really moving.

    When Han shouts "Ben!"
You knew how it was going to go down when he did that, but in that one word there was so much emotion. And you get Kylo Ren's real name too.

    Han death scene.

The sunlight going out, giving Kylo's face a red glow, tears coming down his face. His lines about wanting to be free of pain. Pure quiet in the the theater. And then the crackle of the saber and swell of music as Han is stabbed. His body falling into vapor.

    That was it for me.

Kylo Ren's interrogation of Rey...it was not brutal, as she was not beaten like Poe...
He takes his helmet off, and places the helmet in a box containing ashes. Whose ashes? Why did he do that?...
Also, the reveal of his face, his innocent choir boy charm and unnerving calm that hid the volcanic temper below...
His ability to initially see into her mind, and what is one of the first things he sees? Her loneliness, but also the Island deep within her dreams...
As he pushed deeper into her mind he inadvertently also awakened the Force within her, and allowed for her to use the Force to read his thoughts.
This was a wonderful scene, and it prompted more questions than answers.

That music in the scene helped too. It was the same powerful music played in ANH when Luke reacts to seeing his aunt and uncle's burnt skeletons outside the homestead.

Wow, so many great moments. The Han-Ben encounter takes the cake for me as the most powerful. Rey taking the lightsaber was the most enjoyable, and the one that makes me the most excited about the upcoming trilogy.

Also, Han and Leia's dialog about Ben resonated with me even after the movie. "There is still good in him." Heartbreaking. Even after apparently sealing his own fate by killing Han, I would love to see him follow in his grandfather's footsteps of redemption, if not only to validate those words and Han's decision... not likely happening before the end of Ep. IX though!

personally i liked the scene where rey kicked kylos ass. this scene shows she is definitely strong with the force sense she has no training or experience with a lighsaber or the force. i also liked the very end scene where they finally find luke. rey hold out the lightsaber to him and he just stairs at her, i definitely think he is shocked to see her. after all she could possibly be his daughter, but overall the whole movie was AMAZING!!!!!

As much as I always secretly admired Han, I was memorized by Ben and his struggle. I saw it coming, but when it actually happened I literally held my breath then gasped. Silence. It was gut wrenching and they were both wonderful in that scene.
