I've seen bashing on other sites of the ending act of TFA that it was too amateurish, worst of all the duels, etc. Personally, I loved it. It allowed for more character development in the later episodes to come.

I loved Kylo's passion during his duel. Injured, maniacal, raw power yet not without weaknesses. I much preferred the real style to the baton twirling we got in the prequels.

I think GL messed it up a bit when he made the Jedi almost superhuman in the PT, running away at light speed from those Droidekas in TPM, jumping 100 feet in the air to land on the lava floaters, etc.

What say you all. And my apologies if this has been posted already. Feel free to move it, mods.

I thought it was great. Will need to see a second time to figure out my permanent ranking for the movies but loved watching it.

Really enjoyed it...wished Finn could have gone a little more but was glad he landed a hit on Kylo!

    watched it 4 times, i'm a nerd.

Loved it, get's better each time.. once I can get over my OT fascination I might aswell admit its one of, if not the best duel, since 1977

Definitely my favourite scene in the film.

I've said it on other thread, so apologies for sounding like a broken record, but it was so much better than the bombastic over-the-top pretentiousness of the prequel fights.

It had the raw emotion, the grit, realistic feeling that hasn't been felt since ROTJ.

I don't know whether I can put it over Luke vs Vader in ESB, but it ATM is definitely second. Really need to see it 3 or 4 more times (and I've already seen it 3 times!)

Does the poll bug anyone else? The question doesn't seem to fit the options.

Sorry, but my OCD is going into overdrive today.

This is exactly what I'm talking about. A non-force sensitive being able to inflict some damage with his enemy's preferred weapon of choice. I loved that! Something different, unexpected, yet entirely real (in a make believe movie of all places).

Rey was too powerful, the choreography of the duel was messy and lacked the drama of the originals and was not as skilled as the Darth Maul fight.

Just underwhelmed by how it was handled.

Terrible I mean technically I guess it was okay I liked the less dumb twirling of blades and spinning through the air but story wise it failed for me.

    1) Kylo doesnt use his Force Powers to just stuff Finn
    2) Kylo is hitting his chest instead of cauterizing his wound with a Lightsaber or maybe some force lightning.
    3) Finn goes from losing to a trooper to landing a blow on the Master of the Knights of Ren (How bad do the rest of these knights have to suck if he is the best.....how bad must Luke's Academy be if they lost to this)
    4) Rey BS Nakama Power Up that Anime would be proud of.
