SPECULATION Your Predictions for The Last Jedi

Ok.

From a maketing point < & trust me, the mouse wants 2 get all, then more of the 4.2 billion back > there r 2 outcomes i mostly c coming from the story group & maybe sum pressure from Iger.

1. Reylo (shudder). Disney wants more fans. Especially nu female fans. What better way 2 get them w/ a cheesey ♡ story. Look @ all the sick fan art & fan fic.

And.

2. Rey Skywalker. Like it or not that family is the main cash cow of the Saga. The Skywalkers make 4 da most $$$. And b4 u say Solo well he married a Skywalker.

All the other theories while intresting (Rey Clone, my fav) won't make the $$$.

There's also a reason y we still get Superman, WW and Batman comics after almost 80 years. They make da most $$$.

I'm fully convinced that she is a "random" by now.

Looking back at Rey's statement that her parentage is "obvious" when you watch TFA, I think her statement is meant to be a riddle. The answer to this riddle is that, of course her parentage in TFA is obvious - because it's nowhere to be seen. What's nowhere to be seen could be something entirely random.

 

If she is a Skywalker, then these are the clues Daisy might be referring to...

Luke's dialogue in TFA teaser: "...my sister has is, you have that power too...", and Maz' dialogue: "...that lightsaber was Luke's, and his fathers. And now it calls to you..."

IMO, I'm not sure who she is, but I'm excited for a good reveal.

 

She's a random...with a noble parent. But she is not an orphan. Why? Because she was left, not on the planet just left behind on Jakku. Now when I say a noble parent I don't mean Luke or Leia. But someone who was/is important.

 

Rey's parentage isn't important per se' but how she ended up on her own on Jakku is. So... Rey Random... Kind of lol

Reylo will be hinted at but it will turn out one sided

Rey pulls Luke out of his apathy.

Kylo strike down snoke to save Rey's life, falls to the dark side. His redemption becomes his sacrifice.

Finn kills phasma

Poe blows stuff up

Chewie eats a porg

And C3P0 finally 'comes out'

 

Phasma dies

Hux dies

Rey's parentage is alluded to, or partially filled in, but questions remain.

Snoke's history still largely obscured but it will be clear he's a different kind of villain than the Emperor was.

Tran loses a sister.

All major characters have an identity crisis of some kind and that's the major theme of the film, where each character "evolves" into a different place than they were before they began. Finn is more committed to the fight, Poe questions his allegiance to the Resistance, Rey questions her association with Luke and Leia and Rey questions his relationship with Snoke. Luke questions the wisdom of openly tapping into the force for personal gain, or alleged heroism. Leia questions her leadership skills and her management.

Luke is more powerful than imagined and this is not revealed until the near end of the film. Part of Luke's hesitancy is the amount of power he can now tap at will and his realization just how dangerous this can be.

It's made obvious during an end credit sequence, that Leia passes in between VIII and IX.

 

I predict it will be awesome!

 

It is funny that you mention that because truthfully I do suspect that Rey's origins were going to be ordinary or perhaps somebody new. Personally, I'm hoping she just had parents who were force sensitives/ ordinary Jedi and that she was born Force Sensitive. This symbolizing that Rey is very much her own character in that she isn't burdened by a legacy.

And that during the course of TLJ or the ST she earns Luke's legacy through merit as opposed to Kylo who was born under the legacy of Skywalker and in turn feels conflicted/ crushed by it. But knowing LF(mostly KK), Rey is probably going to be like Nomi Sunrider from Legends.

In other words, perhaps a part of a group of Force Sensitives who are just as powerful as the Skywalkers. hence, the noble aspect. But we will need to wait and see.



As for my predictions on TLJ I will list them out in six predictions


6) We will learn about Luke's journeys and his Temple: Luke Skywalker as we have currently seen him in BF2 and to a degree on Legends of Luke traveled the galaxy searching for Jedi artifacts. We will learn some stuff about his journeys and what he discovered, hence leading into Ach-too, the compass he has, and the books he has. I also suspect we will learn a lot more about Luke's relationship with Lor San Tekka and how the two met/ what he did.


5) Lore twist: the Jedi/ the Force: I find it strange how Luke just retreated after his temple was destroyed to the first Jedi temple. Just going from the movies, even after 30 years, you'd think Luke would have gone to the temple and then upon gaining answers would have come back. But given how the movie has showcased Luke on Ach-too, having explored the planet, I suspect he discovered something big.

Like galaxy shattering in the context of the Jedi and the Force. This based on how RJ chose to depict the First Jedi temple. My prediction: something about the Jedi; their doctrine or views on the Force is wrong. My evidence from this stems from Legends of Luke Skywalker where (SPOILERS FROM THE BOOK) he learns about the TIde on Le'wel and how the Tide(which is their understanding of the Force) flow through them and do not control it.

Now, consider Yoda's stuff in ESB where Luke must unlearn what he has learned. Something that the story showcased(END SPOILERS).

I believe that TLJ is working towards this; to where Luke upon gaining this secret of the Jedi/ the Force is going to cause doubt in him. And hence his line "The Jedi must end" is a byproduct of his cynicism and him learning this. But Rey and seeing the galaxy will snap him out of this.


4) Snoke's history won't be revealed, but something else: Snoke as we know, won't have his backstory confirmed. But I do suspect that Snoke has some history. Namely, with Luke. I find it odd how Snoke has such a scarred, damaged face. And while this could be tied to some fight or dark side degerdation; I suspect there is more to Snoke wanting Luke dead than simply because he can create new Jedi.

Rather, I postulate that Snoke and Luke have history with one another. As for what, I suspect this will be connected to his Jedi temple, but I suspect that when Kylo betrayed him, that Luke and Snoke engaged in a really large-scale battle. And the result caused Snoke to get severely injured, possibly with Luke tapping into dark side powers.


3) Kylo will go fully dark I will be honest; Kylo is the only new character I found was interesting in TFA. So, really; I'm looking more towards his story than anything else. Kylo Ren is basically the Zuko of SWs (Avatar the Last Airbender). And like in that show, Kylo is a guy ruled by his emotions, and in turn is burdened as a result of it.

Given how Kylo killed Han, this is going to weigh heavily on him as he is trying to get past that and be his own person. And the lynchpin of this I see as Leia. Because, I suspect that Kylo is going to be tasked with killing Leia. And that choice is going to forever change him. But more so, the movie, like (SPOILER ALERT FOR AVATAR SECOND SEASON) is going to setup for a bait and switch. Where, like Zuko, Kylo will seemingly be tempted back to the light, only to fall back into darkness, killing Leia, and fully committing himself to his current path.

2) Rey's origins will be teased and revealed partially: Allow me to explain. The "I am your father" twist in ESB and why it works so well is aside, from some brilliant foreshadowing, it turns the narrative upside down. Luke who saw the Empire as being this evil all encompassing force with Vader being that symbol is in fact related to him.

And that everything he had come to know: Ben's statements on Vader killing his father, what his place was during the galaxy; was shattered. I suspect that Rian Johnson is going to subvert this in a big way. There are contingents of people who suspect that Rey will be some kind of Skywalker, Kenobi, Palpatine; insert prior character.But I doubt that is going to be the case. I believe that Rey is going to have ordinary folks or some new characters.

The reason being that it subverts Luke's story in that her expectations, which is ours, that her folks are around or someone big; aren't. And that she is very much an enigma. And I believe when you take into account Kylo: a character whose entire core is built on the legacy of the Skywalkers: this presents an interesting theme.


1) The movie will end on a bittersweet note: I suspect that TLJ is very much going to take the ESB route in that we will get an ending that is bittersweet. For example, if Rey is captured by Snoke or goes with him, I suspect that in exchange Luke will finally commit himself to fighting once more for the Resistance.

And on the flip side; Kylo Ren may turn light side. Or to where Luke does come back, but ultimately both Rey and Kylo are opposing him. Or heck, it could be something along the lines of Finn being captured and brainwashed by the FO again.

Those are my predictions/ thoughts. Sorry for how long they are.

 

I would love for Rey to be a Skywalker or Solo, but I believe she will be a Random force user. I hope she is not Kylo's love interest. He gives me the Buffalo Bill vibes from Silence of the Lambs.
My Predictions:
Poe and General Leia with have a conflict with Admiral Holdo's strategy on how to defeat the First Order.
Luke reluctantly trains Rey.
The Knights of Ren and Kylo go to Ahch-To to confront Skywalker. Luke easily takes out the Knights of Ren. Rey and Kylo fight. Kylo tries to persuade Rey to join him and take out Snoke. She declines. Luke goes after Kylo and he escapes.
Rey leaves with Chewy in the Millenium Falcon and meets up with the Resistance.
After the battle on Crait, Rey sneaks onto Snoke's ship to confront Kylo Ren and Snoke.
Finn and Rose meet up with DJ at Canto Bite. They impersonate FO officers and sneak on Snoke's Supremecy Ship. Finn fights Phasma and helps destroy FO hanger with all the AT-AT and Gorilla Walkers.
Kylo will turn back to Ben Solo and stop Snoke torturing Rey. Snoke uses his strong dark Side Force powers and overwhelms both Rey and Kylo.
Luke will appear to save the day on Snoke's ship to rescue Rey and Kylo. He will team up with Kylo and Rey to defeat Snoke. Snoke escapes. Rey and Kylo team up and go after him.
Luke goes back to Crait to meet up with this sister. The ending shot will be Luke with his arm around Leia looking up at the sky as Rey, Chewy, and Kylo go after Snoke in the Millenium Falcon. The ending with Luke and Leia meet up is probably a wishful fantasy.
So ending option # 2: Snoke and Rey go off together, either by Rey joining Snoke and the Dark Side or captured. Ben Solo and Luke go after Snoke to rescue Rey from her darkside self and Snoke. General Leia retires.

 

My predictions is that there will be a lot of people complaining after the movie. Because too much expectations are in this movie and it won't please everybody ( and maybe I'll be one of them ! ).

 

Rey is a clone made from Lukes hand ( no not like that... I mean LITERALLY from his hand) Making her his daughter.

Luke will suspect and therefore reluctantly train her. The power that scares him is not Reys in comparison to Kylo Ren but Reys power reminds him of his own raw power he did not know how to control.

Snoke will reveal to Rey her parentage will try and fail to tempt her to the darkside. Kylo will rescue her but this will not guarantee his redemption. (Unless dating your first cousin is cool in a GFFA this shoukd kill all the Reylo stuff)

Poe will get more to do and he and Holdo will battle to be Leia's sucessor ( I think there will be romantic tension there they may explore in Episode IX)

Leia will...
do something with the Force
briefly unite with her brother and son
End the movie alive and they will address her death in the time gap and possibly opening crawl of Episode IX

Finn will have a lot to do
Kill Capt Phasma
Get a significant clue to his past
Have an awkward moment when Rose and Rey meet
(This is a bold prediction) Finn will get to touch a lightsaber ( I did not say use) at some point in this film.
This may be contigent on what happens with Rey but I don't think he will end TLJ with the Resistance.

Luke will
be shown to be way more powerful than we believe ( just a step below Yoda not old Yoda young Yoda from the Legends)
He will embarass the Knights of Ren in battle and smack Kylo around if they fight.
He will be forced to rejoin the fight because of his sister and ....daughter...

Maz will have a short but significant role and what she says will have implications for Episode IX.

DJ will be interesting but the worse kind of scoundrel with less redeeming qualities than Rogues like Han or Lando.

Snoke will be shown to be very powerful even more than Palps but limited because of his last encounter with...Luke

Kylo will not be redeemed yet but displaced by saving Rey he has nowhere to be but with his Uncle and Mother but he is torn between light and dark

Last one...there will be a Force ghost..maybe...???!!!!

 

Luke will train Rey until he sees her full manifestation of power. He'll then nope out of the situation hard because look what happened last time he trained such a powerful force user. Fool me once and all that.


Kylo and Rey will have equal power sets and very similar issues with controlling it. However, where Kylo was vulnerable to Snoke's manipulation from the womb, Rey being stashed on Jakku will ultimately be what saved her.


Rey will be a random with possible dark side origins. No one very important, though. Like may or may not have something to do with their death/disappearance.

The whole Crait sequence will be much longer than any of us predict.
It won't be limited to the third act but will start early in the second act and carry on till the end. The shot with Kylo walking into a cave will be from the beginning of the second act. The Finalizer and Canto Bight sequences will intersperse the Crait scenes with the three threads converging for the final battle sequence.

Paige Tico is a dead woman walking.

Finn will be upset/disappointed that Rey left him with the resistance and that will make him less willing to work for them. Well, that's untill they get attacked over D'Qar.

Kylo won't kill his mother. It's laughable that people even think he would.

Kylo won't turn back to the light in TLJ but he will turn away from the dark. He won't join the Resistance. He might help them but not as a member but more like a mercenary.

Kylo and Rey will share some form of Force Bond. They'll have dreams/visions of the other person which will instil some amount of sympathy for each other in them and the audience.

There will be so much more to Ben Solo's backstory beyond what they're letting on with him feeling "neglected" by his parents. They'll stress Snoke's influence on him.

There will be romantic subtext in Rey and Kylo's interactions towards the end but it will be easily ignorable. They'll leave it largely up to interpretation. There won't be any smoochy business between them. Not in this movie.

Finn and Rose will be the new couple of TLJ. That's where the romance and smoochy stuff will happen.

The whole movie will revolve around why and how Luke came to be on Acho To. That will be the reveal, not some second-rate rehash of I'm yo daddy. It will involve a blurring of the lines in the sand between the Dark side and the Light and what we've come to believe about the force.


The force will be shown to be stuck in a cycle of the dark and the light with the loser of the previous conflict rising again each time. This movie will divorce the idea of the Dark side from "evil" and the Light side from the good. Try balance cannot be brought about by the victory of one side over the other. This idea will be played out in the dynamic between Rey and Kylo.

Luke will seem ineffectual until he finally snaps and goes loco on a bunch of idiots with his Lightsaber. That'll be the only "fan servicey" thing they'll write in. But God, will us fans lap that ish up. I predict it will be suitably glorious.


Rey will totally fail Luke. People in movies don't promise to do something unless they're most definitely going to end up doing the opposite. Especially if the promise is made in the beginning of the movie.

Luke's story will be heartbreaking af. He'll cry. We'll cry. Leia and Luke will finally meet and they'll hug for what we know to be the last time and we'll sob- no silent tears but actual snotty, ugly crying.

Poe will turn darker and darker in the movie. He'll go rogue, bombing civilians and such. Endangering the lives of his men. He and and Holdo will butt heads and eventually he'll do something that will make Leia slap him.


Nothing will happen to Leia in this movie. She'll remain uninjured. She will, however, be incredibly impressive as the general. She'll use the force. Of that I'm sure.


Rey will be conflicted as hell in this movie. She'll make some blatantly stupid decisions. LF is going to want to put an end to the whole Mary Sue thing. Kylo will beat her in the Lightsaber battle on Ach-To.

There will be a time jump and they'll show this via costume change! Rey will shed her resistance outfit and get into her training outfit.

There will be a short post credit/ post-movie scene which honours Carrie Fisher.

 

I think Vader will play some part. I don't know what, but I don't think Anakin's story is over. This is a story about Skywalkers.

 

Poe killing civilians and going rogue sounds off. He may have disagreements with General Leia or Purple hair Holdo but thats it.

In 24 days REYLO will be abolished. Rey will manipulate Kylo just like Snoke did.

Rey and Finn will reunite at the end of the Craite battle and Kylo will be sucking his thumb some where in the outerRim.

 

It will be an Empire Strikes Back ripoff in plot and character arcs. Luke will be the new Yoda, never leave the island, and never use his green lightsaber again. And forget about a reunion between anything remaining of the big 3. JJ wasted a once in a lifetime opportunity by what he did (or did not do) in TFA.

 

Depends on how you define Reylo. To me and to a lot of other people, I think it's the connection between Kylo and Rey, romantic or otherwise, on a deeper level. So, I guess we will see.

Rey and Finn will absolutely reunite. That I agree with.

 

We need someone I voted random, we need the other names legacy messed up all over again,.

 

we all know how this ends. Snoke dies and a new supreme leader....
