We're getting the Anakin story I think most *expected* when the PT was announced.

Exactly what I said when I walked out of seeing TFA for the first time!

These next 16 days are going to go one of two ways...

Agreed on the agreement. Adam Driver is a highlight.

I'm cool with this, like most fans.

I really hope they don't go this route.

I didn't have a problem with this until TFA, as the scene where Han walks away from Finn after Rey is captured and seems to not care about her fate makes him look like a crummy dad.

This would be a tough one because that means Leia was cheating on Han, or they were having marriage problems from the get go.

This could work, but how did she get those force powers unless Han was hooking up with another Jedi?

Yep. Everyone compared TFA to ANH but I thought it was much more a hodge podge of the PT movies with an ANH skin.

Precisely. Felt like a glorified OT fan film with plenty of prequel nods. And that’s not at all a bad thing.

Kylo choosing to kill his father mirrors Luke’s decision to not kill his father in ROTJ more than the deaths of Qui-Gon or Obi-Wan to me, for instance.

They did such a good job course correcting the general audience perception of Star Wars.

I feel like Reylo is going to be hinted at in this movie. I think the attraction is definitely their on Kylo's side, and I think that we will be left to see whether Rey ends up feeling the same way in episode IX.

I do not think that Rey is related to anybody we have seen in the films so far, to be honest I think there are too many logical problems to say Han or Leia are her parents. I mean if you haven't seen your daughter in years, you aren't going to act like you don't know her. Luke is more likely, but I still think it's a long shot. To be honest I think Rey's character is enhanced by not being a Skywalker or having a force lineage. Much is made of parents transferring force powers to their children, but it is so cool to think that anybody in the galaxy has the chance to be special. To be honest, since Jedi weren't allowed to marry, all the Jedi in the prequel trilogy should in theory not have force sensitive parents. So, it's not like Rey having force powers and being random would be unprecedented.

Kinda obvious but I think Luke is going the grey jedi/balance route. Wants to stop force using entirely at the beginning of the movie because it is too dangerous, but comes to accept the risk of starting a new order with "balanced" force wielders by the end of the series, via the intervention of Rey and the redemption of Ben.

I would love it if Finn, or Poe, or Leia, or R2, or someone died. Maybe even 2 of these people. Don't think it is likely, but it would be kind of cool.

Kind of going off that I do expect Leia to die, I think they did a reverse reverse psychology in the trailer. Everybody's like "oh they're implying Kylo is gonna kill Leia so it is totally a head fake" but in reality they are gonna be like "crap... they actually did it".

I think we will see Luke in action, possibly saving Rey and/or Kylo from Snoke in the end of the movie. That would be dope.

Fun prediction that totally won't happen: We find out that Boba Fett went to Kamino after Return of the Jedi to clone his own son.
