I literally just came up with off the top of my head, but I've got a lot of Star Wars books on my reading list, from both Canon and Legends. I wondered what you peeps' reading lists contained and well, see how full our plates are. Feel free to tell me/us what books we can skip or definetly don't skip.

    Canon:
    Finish rereading TFA.
    Reread Bloodline and Aftermath
    Reread Lost Stars
    Read Aftermath 2 & 3
    Thrawn
    Rebel Rising
    Leia: Princess of Alderaan
    Phasma
    Inferno Squad

    Legends:
Reread the Dark Lord trilogy (Labyrinth of Evil, Revenge of the Sith, and Rise of the Dark Lord)
    Darth Bane trilogy
Republic Commandos series + Imperial Commandos
    Shatterpoint
    X-Wing series
    Han Solo trilogy
    Lando Calrissian/Han Solo Adventures
    Attack of the Clones
    Shadows of the Empire
    The Force Unleashed 1/2
    The Old Republic books
    Knight Errant
    Choices of One
    Knight Errant
    "Tales from" Series
    Allegiance
    Jedi Trial
    Clone Wars Gambit duology
    Honor Among Thieves
    Razor's Edge

And eventually, some of the post-ROTJ type stuff.
    ...

    So how about y'all!?:D

Edit: the title should say "List", whoops!

I'm planning on reading The legend of Luke Skywalker when its released asap. I liked Bloodline but I'll pick up Leia at a later date. I enjoyed Rebel Rising, The Guardians of the Whills, and the Perfect Weapon; I love short stories and anthologies, so I'm really looking forward to From a Certain Point of View.

I'll read Inferno Squad if I enjoy Battlefront 2's campaign in November. I'll read Phasma if her character is redeemed in TLJ, for now not really interested her character; I was let down by her character development in TFA. Great actress big GOT fan but she was a complete and utter waste, to me that is. I'm currently reading the TPM, TFA novelization, and The Bounty Hunter Wars. I'll re-read the Han Solo trilogy by Crispin in prep for the film next year.

    Legends:
    Hand of Thrawn duology
    Attack of the Clones novelization
    Han Solo trilogy
    Truce at Bakura
    Black Fleet Crisis trilogy
    Champions of the Force
    Kenobi
    Revan
    Darth Bane trilogy
    Labyrinth of Evil
    Shatterpoint
And most of the Old Republic era stuff.

    As far as canon goes:
    Phasma
    Leia: Princess of Alderaan
    Lost Stars
    Rebel Rising
    Guardians of the Whills
    Ahsoka
    Tarkin
    A New Dawn

While Phasma the book does not justify her Boba Fett like appearance in TFA. The book is taken from a fun point of view. You learn about more then just Phasma's character, our favorite villain red head has some story within it as well. Not to mention she is not telling her story. I would suggest it for a read. It got me even more pumped for TLJ.

I'm only doing canon stuff, and only when it's cheap! Problem with this is I'm reading a lot of stuff out of sequence... anyhow..

I'm part way through Catalyst at the moment, after that; BLOODLINE and Battlefront Twilight Company are sat on my shelf yet to be read.

After that, I still haven't picked up Empires End yet, which is long overdue as it would make sense of quite a lot of stuff. I'd also like to get Thrawn and Ahsoka*

Since a lot of the trade paperbacks are now ~£3.00 on Play books**, I've downloaded a few of those, including some other mainline Star Wars comics, the Vader series, Leia, Poe and Obiwan & Anakin. I'll be reading these over the next couple of weeks.

*for the books I'm trying to support my local bookshops, rather than just take the easy route and go to Amazon. This means what I read is very dependent on what they sell.

** I simply can't afford to be reading the comics at anything like cover price, and again... I'd rather not support the evil empire of Amazon, so I'm supporting the slightly less evil empire of google instead!

    Finish: Bloodline
Want to start reading: Thrawn (Got it but not read it yet)
    Tarkin
    Lords of the Sith
    Phasma
Im kinda on the fence on From a Certain Point of View. Is it any good? Worth picking up?

Finished Catalyst, managed to pick up Aftermath: Empires End, so I'm about a quarter of the way through that now. Then I want to try and read Bloodline, which is still sat unread on my shelf, before see TLJ.

    I'm currently reading Leia.

I started reading Catalyst quite a while ago but it never really caught on. I only made it it through two chapters, I do wanna finish it someday though.

I've had the TFA novelization since it came out and never read it. I've checked for things here and there to see if anything differs from the film but one day I do hope to read it front to back.

I'm on the fence about the rest of the Journey to TLJ series though. From what I've heard Phasma seems like a good read but not essential. I had plans of getting the Luke book but when I found out it was a junior novel I started having doubts. Canto Bight is intriguing but it comes out so close to the film I probably won't be able to finish, so it doesn't really matter when I get it.

    Lords of the Sith
    Tarkin
    Thrawn
From a Certain Point of View
    The Aftermath Trilogy

are all on my reading list with probably a few others too that are just escaping me right now. I started late with the novels which is why there's such a back log. The goal is to knock it all out by the end of next year.

I'm currently blasting my way through the audiobooks, tv shows, and movies in chronological order in a massive pre-TLJ marathon, which looks like this:

    Darth Plagueis (Legends)
    Ep. I - TPM
    Ep. II - AOTC
    The Clone Wars TV Series
    Catalyst
    Ep. III
    Tarkin
    Ahsoka
    Rebels TV Series
    Leia - Princess of Alderaan
Thrawn ** Currently working on finishing this up then I'll watch the best episodes of Rebels Season 3. Then I can finally start watching Season 4!
    Rebel Rising
    Rogue One
    Ep. IV - ANH
    Battlefront 2- Inferno Squad
    Lost Stars
    Ep. V - TESB
    Ep. VI - ROTJ
    Aftermath 1 -3
    Legends of Luke Skywalker
    Bloodline
    Phasma
    Ep. VII - TFA

Started this in August and I'm starting to feel the crunch. I'll probably have to skip Rebel Rising and Battlefront 2 since I listened to them earlier this year and time is running out. I commute a lot for work so I get to listen to the books in the car during the day and watch the movies & tv shows at night. Its a good system especially when everything is timed up well (e.g., Finishing Ahsoka, Leia, and Thrawn right before their respective appearances in Rebels).

Earlier this spring I listened to the Fate of the Jedi series (Legends), which is enjoyable and free on Overdrive (library app). I really want to get my hands on the preceding Legacy of the Force series someday but for now all my Audible credits are going towards canon material.

Looking for feedback from anyone who read Phasma .... Do I have it placed in a suitable chronological spot after Bloodline and before The Force Awakens?

Finished Empires End, read the perfect weapon, and now have started Bloodline.

Splurged on some TPB's the other day too, so I've read about 20 or 30 comics over the past week or two as well.

I’ve recently completed the Dark Lord trilogy and think they’re worth a read. I think I prefer the prequel stories better in the books than the movies. It probably helped that I hadn’t seen the movies since they came out so I’d forgotten most of the plot. They got me interested in palpatine so I’m reading Darth Plagueis now

I am doing something similar. I also had to cut a few off the list as TLJ kind of snuck up. I'm currently in the middle of Bloodline.(Here is my list with some quick ratings(non-film only) just in case anybody is trying to do something similar in the future and needs to skip a few here and there)

    SW 26-30: Yoda's Secret War (7/10)
    SW Darth Maul 1-5 (9/10)
    EP I - TPM
    SW Obi-Wan & Anakin 1-5 (5/10)
    EP II - AOTC
Mace Windu 1-4 (7.5/10 so far)
    The Clone Wars-Movie
    The Clone Wars-TV (9.9/10)
    Dark Disciple (7.5/10)
    Darth Maul:Son of Dathomir (9.5/10)
EP III - Revenge of the Sith
Darth Vader: Dark Lord of the Sith 1-5 (8.5/10)
Ahsoka (5.5/10) *Disappointing, she is one of my favorite characters. Just didn't deliver.
    Lords of the Sith (8/10)
    Tarkin (7/10)
SW 7,15,20: From the Journals of Old Ben Kenobi (8/10)
    Lost Stars (9/10)
    Catalyst (7.5/10)
    Guardians of the Whills (8/10)
    Rogue One
    EP IV: ANH
Battlefront II: Inferno Squad *Novel (7.5/10)
    SW 1-6 (9/10)
    Darth Vader 1-6 (9/10)
    EP V: ESB
    EP VI: ROTJ
    Battlefront II:Inferno Sqaud *PS4* (9/10)
    Bloodline *Currently reading
EP VII: TFA *Obviously already seen but watching again in order

What I had to skip due to time constraints but will be diving into after TLJ:

All things Rebels: Kanan comics, A New Dawn, TV series, Thrawn(novel as well as new Marvel series)
    Poe Dameron comic series

It may not be canon anymore, but I highly recommend Labyrinth of Evil to anyone who has not read it.
It's without a doubt my favorite SW book.

WOW I have got a LOT of reading to do, this is a great thread and thanks @The Hero With No Fear , not on your list but I really enjoyed Rogue One novelization by Freed. Really well done, I especially liked the background on how Galen got the exhaust port into the plans by fooling Krennic. Also , K-2SO's stand at the vault is told from his perspective - very interesting reading first person from a droid.....overall well done novel.

Yes! I've read that one too and it was pretty darn good. That author is really good at writing Star Wars books from the POV of the soldiers fighting on the front lines. I'd be interested in seeing his take on a squad of clone troopers or stormtroopers.

    Just before TLJ I read:

    Dawn of the Jedi
    Tales of the Jedi
    Jedi Vs. Sith
    Darth Bane Trilogy
    TPM (Terry Brooks)
    AotC (RA Salvatore)
    TCW Movie Novelization
    RotS
    Rogue One Novelization
    ANH
    ESB
    RotJ
    TFA

It was fun, started in mid July. I'm re-reading the Thrawn Trilogy now and then Dark Empire.

I'm sticking with canon, for now, at least. I'll consider legends later.
    Currently reading:
From a certain point of view.
    Completed:
    Aftermath 1, 2, 3
    Bloodline
    A new dawn
    Tarkin
    Catalyst
    Phasma
    Captain phasma (comic)
Bottleneck & mercy mission (short stories)
    Plan to read:
    Canto bight
    Thrawn
    Legends of Luke skywalker
    Leia: princess of alderaan
    Lost stars
Levers of power & perfect weapon (short stories)
Battlefront twilight company & inferno squad

Possibly after those, some others like ahsoka, heir to the jedi, most new canon, preferably not the stuff targeted at kids

I've decided to go back and re-read things I've already read and add in things I just never had a chance, a lot of the new stuff I listened to on audible as I used to have a 45 minute commute to work. I'm going to actually read those books as it's just not quite the same listening as it is reading. Anyway, here you go:

In order I hope to read them (*listened on audible; %Cannon; # Legends; ** read it when the film came out)
Currently reading: Attack of the Clones (book is far better than the film in my opinion)
    Labyrinth of Evil #
    Revenge of the Sith %**
Dark Lord: The Rise of Darth Vader
    Tarkin
    Thrawn*
    Ashoka*
    Catalyst
    Rogue One
    Aftermath trilogy*
From a Certain Point of View
    The Force Awakens
    Bloodline*
    Phasma

That ought to take care of me for a while.

That's good to hear, while I'm not big on film novelizations (though I came pretty close to buying Alan Dean Foster's "Alien" novelization in B&N today) I do plan on reading all the film novelizations sometime soon. I've already read the OT (several times over the decades) and back when TPM came out I read Terry Brooks' novelization. Which I remember thinking was probably better written than any of the OT books though I didn't like the film as much. I haven't read any of them after that though, so I guess that's 5 more books to add to my reading list. And a book a year after that. I see R.A. Salvatore did Ep. II, I know Chewbacca wasn't in the movie but I assume he'll die in the novelization.
