Mando takes places 9 years after the battle of Yavin, while Rey was born 6 years later.

He was mentioned in Chapter 9. Maybe it's not that unlikely after all.

Finn's parents (assuming Luke isn't his dad) and Zare Leonis. You know, the same Zare Leonis that was Ezra's ally when he snuck into the Imperial Academy, who had his own set of Jr. Reader spin-off books and a force sensitive sister who was going to be trained to become an Inquisitor, who then disappeared from canon after his series ended, never to be seen again. Do you remember him? No? Well, I remember him, and I'm still salty about how he was treated...but that's nothing new for me...
(This all spins off of how I think Rebels should have gone with its characters, which included more potential foils for Ezra in the form of the Iron Squadron, potentially Starkiller, and Zare (and his sister). And how I feel about how Star Wars has historically treated its POC cast. I'll do a revision someday of all of those things, but not anytime soon.)

I'd love to see Quinlan Vos pop up again too, so long as he lives. I don't want him to show up just to die at the hands of Vader.

Other than them, it would be great to see Merrin pop up with a new generation of Nightsisters.

From the non-canon side and discounting any Skywalker/Solo clan members...definitely the Shan family, Emperor Valkorion* and his kin, and Lana Beniko. (The fact that I can't romance Vaylin is probably for the best...but it wouldn't stop me from trying...if I ever played the game...)

I'm sure there are others, but these are all of the ones I can think of off the top of my head.



*No more of that "I hollowed out his body nonsense. I want Valkorion to be Valkorion. Let his thing in his body stay dead.

 

I want Din to bring Baby Yoda to Cal Kestis, and Cal says, "Sure, I'll train him...but you have to stick around and be his dad. None of this separating parents from kids garbage anymore."

 

Oooo that reminds me, I'd love someone from Fallen Order to make an appearance of some sort, though I think an Easter egg/reference is far more likely, I also would love to see Mon Mothma in live action again, especially if Favreau/Filoni expand the New Republic sub-plot a bit more.

 

It would be interesting to see how Din would handle the Core worlds like Coruscant... I think he'd kind of hate it, but who knows.

I don't think Cal is too likely if a certain Togruta is going to show up, but I think it would be so cool if Din met an "off-brand" Force user like Merrin...

 

I somehow forgot about Merrin. I think if Din is to cross paths with any of the Mantis crew it would be Greez or Merrin, as I think it's a very safe bet Cal & Cere aren't around by that time - well definitely Cere at least.

This speculation has made me even more hyped for the JFO sequel, haha.

 

Of course Cal is alive! He and BD are just...off hanging with space whales? Hmm, no, no, that’s already been taken... Well, I’m sure Dave F. could come up with something reasonable if he really wanted to.
