Yeah, I wouldn't be surprised if some of Luke's reservations on the Jedi come from Ahsoka's perspective.

Yes, because she saw both sides of the fence instead of what she was only "taught" to see.

Call me crazy, but I really want that comment about how 9 will "connect all the trilogies" to be true. I mean, this is one way that that could be done. You have someone like Ezra from the Rebellion era, you have someone like Ashoka from the Prequel era that knew what a young Anakin was like that can tell someone like a Rey what happened in the past and Kylo for that matter. You also have the World between Worlds place that they can use.

It would be cool if it would happen, but it will be so difficult to pull off. You probably end up with either a movie that is extremely heavy on exposition or a movie that only hardcore fans can understand and care about. It may be better to not even try.

I would already be happy if they could thematically connect TFA and TLJ. I may be one of the few people that likes both of them. However, although they share the same characters, they do not really connect. Story lines and themes that were started in TFA were dropped in TLJ and replaced by new story lines and themes.

I feel as that they will close the trilogy but thinking Ep. X will be the end of the whole Skywalker arc. Ahsoka just seems so primed to be in the film arc to me. She has impacted 2 out of the 3 trilogies. the resistance knows about her since there were 2 x wings or fighters escorting Ahsoka's ship. I think she would be the one who would help Luke start the whole Jedi Academy to an extent. I just dont see Luke the only one to do it with the students he possibly had. Ezra can also play a role as well but we still have this issue on where he is. Ahsoka and Sabine finding Ezra is 100% story that true to what was given from Dave Filoni. Now its the matter of if Disney will decide to show that as an Animation or live action. You present Ahsoka in a cloak and Sabine with shorter hair. A live action would be nice to see for a change, especially finding Ezra. Ezra has a similar story to Luke in the ST. find Luke is now like finding Ezra.

I dont see Disney making a book about them finding Ezra when you have a good market on a good 3min showing of the future. Plus you have the resistance playing a part between the OT and ST. So many stories/films/shows you can venture between that they would save film for a major story and streams for paths of the Skywalker arc. Saw was a good fit for R1 but he would be out of place if in the episode films. Ahsoka in the other hand has a better chance cause of how much shes has been thru and has helped the rebellion. She basically has more knowledge about the force and Jedi than Luke. To passs that to him after Ep. 6 is a tv show there.

Have Ahsoka finally meet Luke and teach him more the force. Watch the holocon of Anakin. Luke goes on a few adventures with Ahsoka/Sabine but still goes on his own path while Ahsoka tells him there are other force users out there to where he starts thinking about the academy and tells Luke about Ezra Bridger and tells them to go find him. the Empire is still alive so there an added villian. as well as good and evil force users in the galaxy that you can introduce. while still having the Rebels crew around the galaxy.

I guess im more pushing the while Ahsoka/Sabine story to the fore front of a good possiblity of seeing it as a show and Ahsoka in a film.

Absolutely, a meeting (literally) of the ages that would bring it all together in one wrapper.

Also agree on this...it would be thick for sure. One would almost be able to make an entire act out of the basis of the characters meeting one another, which would sort of pause the story being played out. Thematically yes...love to see it, and it could be done...VERY carefully.

I would love Ahsoka to appear in nine but I don't think it will happen. Too confusing for the non clone wars/rebels watching public. It would be fine if there were no prequels but because there are and she's not in them there'll be as if "millions of voices cried out in terror". "If Anakin had a Padewan where was she in Revenge of the Sith?" they'll cry. And unfortunately there'll be no suddenly silencing them.

Yeah. I’m all over the map with this notion.

Though my conclusion would be much the same as yours, I’d argue there’s better potential for it now- (much more potential I would have admitted to a month ago). It would take a great deal of skill and finesse in storytelling to make it work (well).

Ultimately, it’s not a safe bet- there’s too much money on the line to muck it up for the “film only” crowd. (Though I suppose many would argue it has already been mucked up.)

Yet again- with so many separate upcoming branches of stories to come in the near-ish future, I suppose there’s little certainty about where anything is going.

One thing is sure, imo ... it’s a good time to be a SW fan!

I don't think it's that confusing. If Ahsoka was brought into 9 and introduced as a "Jedi who survived Order 66, and who eventually worked with Luke after the fall of the Empire", everyone in the theater would have an OMG moment: diehard fans because friggin Ahsoka was brought in on film, while casual audiences would be impressed enough that another prequel era jedi lives.

It would pay off, and if someone wants to split hairs about the "last of the Jedi, you will be," comment, they might want to bother actually watching Clone Wars ans Rebels.

Why would it be confusing? They bring in different characters all the time. You don't need a TON of exposition to explain it. I think sometimes we don't give the casual fan enough credit.

Personally I'd LOVE it if they actually brought in Ahsoka. As upset as I am with VIII, this would go a LONG way to making me forgive and forget.
