Before filming in Valencia (Spain), it seems Andor season 2 filmed in Catalonia (region of Spain too) last week! Under Pilgrim name production.
    In Montserrat mountain!

I live in Catalonia so this is incredible news, as I have been in Montserrat several times.
The mountain has always been called "the magic mountain" and is full of legends. Even Hitler was looking for the Holy Grail in there for his mystic energies.

His characteristic form is amazing and it will give a different take in SW.

Can't wait to see how it looks.

The video is in Catalan but you can check the mountain by googling it.

The mountains are from Eocene period and over milions have modeled its characteristic form.
I can already see a ship flying over there, or a secret base XD
    Here some shots.

hello there lawman!!! Yes me too, I wear some people out here on this site with my love of Andor but that is OK. I had no gripes with season 1….loved the grit , the writing, the acting and EMOTION…..rebellions aren’t fun….didn’t mind the serious tone….

yeah but he was the only one from the show….would loved to have seen a Q&A panel with Gilroy and his writers….and Nicholas Britell. But oh well that is OK I guess. But now we wait until Aug 2024 to get the K-2SO origin among other stories….

No, no, my friend. There was a full panel with Gilroys, Diego, Britell, and several of the crew! And also several cast members sat-in on mini panels on the Live! Stage.

    Hello back!

It was fantastic. It kind of helps that I love Rogue One

Going a bit deeper... It felt like it was made by adults for adults. I mean that in the sense of it not being "dumbed down" at all. As a child I would watch a lot of adult films, and understood them just fine. Even when something was lost on me, part of the joy of growing up was discovering the real meaning behind something I didn't quite grasp. Being a child of the 80's I watched films like The Exorcist & Jaws before I was even 10.

It's not meant as a slight, but a lot of the current SW tv shows feel like they are written by children for children. There's nothing deeper than surface level...which is fine when you are in a ":turn your brain off" mood. I think kids are smarted than that. Stranger Things was popular for a reason. I know it's not The Wire or Deadwood, but they also don't spell out everything to the viewer.

I'm fascinated with the tack they're taking with the second season, going over certain periods of time with gaps. They're going to catch us up to 'Rogue Squadron' during the second season by doing jumps. If they do it right, we'll get to see the development of the unified Rebellion in one season. I wonder if any of the gaps will be revisited by specific shows or other media to 'fill them in'. That kind of thing will probably be covered in comic books and/or novels.

Managing the rebellion from the point of view of the leaders in the Andor series could be a great tabletop game or videogame (but not an action game).

I have been wondering the same. And, even though Tony Gilroy is done after season 2, there is nothing stopping LFL grabbing Diego Luna for a going-back-to-tell-a-few-more-stories with the character in between the season 2 blocks later on. I mean, Luna played a 33 year old Cassian Andor in RO (when he was around 36), and then came back to play a 29 year old Cassian Andor in Andor season 1 (when he himself was 42). In season 2, Luna will play a 30, 31, 32, 33 year old Cassian Andor when he is himself 44; I bet he could play a 30-something Andor again no problem for the next few years at least.

It wouldn't have to be another Andor season (although it very well could be); he could just as well be used in other early Rebellion-heavy shows and films.

    Absolutely.
The way they want to tell this (in terms of tv storytelling) is so original, unique and at the same risky, but I have faith in this team.
Well done, it could be so epic, telling one year of time events in 3 episodes arc, the creation anf unification of the whole rebellion with all the little factions.
It will be a long wait.

    ARE WE THERE YET??!!

    Ugh.

I just read Catalyst, and throughout the book, I found myself wondering, "what's Cassian doing now? Wonder what Luthen is up to?" So, I would absolutely love to see some fill-in stories for all the "negative space" Gilroy has referred to in S2. Then again, that's how I feel right now, after the season is done, they may have handled it all so beautifully that any deeper dive would lessen the impact... That wouldn't surprise me a bit.

Either way, I feel like Cassian Andor is, and will increasingly begin to cross into that Pantheon of Iconic Star Wars Characters. That's by and large due to Diego Luna and his personal attachment to the character. He is hyper-aware of the age issues between him and Cassian, so I could definitely see a situation where he refuses to reprise the role because of that issue, if not simply because he feels like the story is complete. That kind of ownership to a character, much like Freddie Prinze Jr. feels about Kanan, deserves full respect, and THAT is one of my fears regarding the CGI/deepfake technology.
