    The real question about casting BDT is whether it is "add a villain" or "replace a villain."

    As an additional character, he could be a rogue Moff or Admiral who gets drawn onto an alliance with the FO. Bounty Hunter? Mercenary with an army of his own?

    Replacement: We would have to kill of one of the big three.Hux, Ren, or Phasma. Hux could be killed in the act 3 battle, much like Tarkin, smug aboard his superweapon.

    I frankly think it would be a new SW twist and very powerful to see Snoke kill one of his underlings. Not like Vader choking an Admiral who annoyed him. But an evil bada$$ killing an apprentice in a fit of rage. That would set Snoke up as an even more potent threat.

    I have a feeling Phasma will be around for all three films. Killing the General at the helm is a little too overdone, but Snoke murdering Ren would be a great twist.

    He is an interesting if not surprising choice. Not sure how I feel about him being in Star Wars but I do believe he is an awesome actor. Che, The Usual Suspects and Sin City were awesome performances!

    I initially misread "Boba Fett Prime" as the name of the Fett in the OT, as if you were suggesting Del Toro would play a new Boba Fett who takes over the Fett mantle post-Sarlaac. This could be both terrible and awesome.

    I think he would be awesome for a canon interpretation of "Thrawn". I think Kylo will be around, after all he is featured so prominently, and I do not think they want to repeat the mistake they made with Maul.
