Only every Force user in the OT continually tells Luke he isn't a Jedi until late in ROTJ. I wouldn't call him established until post ROTJ when he could actually be called a Jedi. As for the Obi Wan Blaster shot. It's the prequels.

You are allowed to like Jedi's using blasters if you want. You are trying to disprove my opinion. I don't like it and I wont like it if they combine a lightsaber and a blaster. That seems goofy to me. Ezra Bridgers lightsaber is by far the worst lightsaber I've ever seen. If it stops working for some reason it may or may not be able to shoot staples at people.

Combining the two just seems like something they would do to make kids think its cool and flashy and it gets away from the original concept of Jedi being an elite order trained a specific way. I don't want to see that change.

 

In Ezra's case I think it has much more to do with the overall climate. Jedi are hunted and are pariah's so he needs to disguise his lightsaber and have it be useful while doing so. The same reason Kanan has to put his lightsaber together every time before he uses it. I'd say Ezra's design is better than Kanan's for simple fact that he now has a way to attack from a distance and protect himself from blaster fire and the Inquisitor in one simple package that he doesn't have to assemble to use.

 

I'd just like to see lightsabers function as they usually do. Mods like a crossguard or being double edged are cool to me but nothing else really.

 

The infamous GG seems to be suggesting something will happen at Star Wars Celebration. The second teaser like I theorized?

 

OR......Warwick Davis takes a selfie with Kylo's crotch and tweets it.

 

Another vague tweet. He's not exactly going out on a limb saying that something will happen. Do people still not realise that he still hasn't leaked anything whatsoever.

He did release images from the Terminator trailer and a description and something else from Jurassic Park i believe. But Star Wars... only vague hints and tweets about people going to want to see/ be somewhere/something

 

Well, when I said 'whatsoever', I was referring specifically to the realm of Star Wars.

 

Which I agree with if he has a source there or knows more than you or I he has done nothing to show it.

We are looking at a very specific, and very dark time in the Jedi history... they are hunted, they are in hiding. The lightsaber, which once proudly hung at their belt, needs to be hidden... Kanan has his in parts, Ezra's is by far more utile...

I would agree that a vague reference to something at SWC is practically a no brainer... but I would disagree that he has done nothing. GG has a long and established history of verified information, and while no huge spoilers have come from this front, do not casually discount what he says...

 

Like I said, I was referring to Star Wars only. I haven't once said that GG has no insider information, just that we've yet to see any of it. Until he shows something or gives us some concrete info, I'm going to have to treat him like any other person claiming to be an insider. I have to assume the default position of skepticism.

 

As with all things, most likely a wise choice...
