There is a possibility that Rey is an alias that she initially goes by and her real name is revealed later. However, that is speculation as I don't know that for a fact. Your statements imply something definitive, which for many to take seriously will require more info. If you have a source you are protecting more info can be given without giving up your source. There are people in the Cantina who do just that. If it is just a strong opinion who believe to be true, it is still speculation, and may not be well received if portrayed as fact without any justification.

I dunno if it helps because I can't find in now, I maybe wrong but am thinking its something to do with that christian website about 'Rey' been part of the dark side. But they are still calling her Kira and saying the hugging cyborg picture is actually Boyega (finn) with no name....

The date on it was only a couple of days ago. There have also been on some other message boards - non star wars related that she is a syth and that she has turned. I've read a few things but I think it would be inappropriate to link the place for myself personally its kind of sensitive. Like I said many times before, star wars is spoken about in the weirdest of places......

Anyways am off to bed now my thigh is killing me.......

It's mentioned that Sam Carr plays a Padawan. He credible that is?

I think of all the things we speculate on the one that seems to be the most ambiguous is ..what state are the empire/rebellion/Jedi in?
If there are Padawan maybe the popular rumor of Luke being absent is false or perhaps he is training Jedi on Skellig Michael?

 

He could be gone from the spotlight and not seen in years cause he is secretly training Jedi.

Or

That for 20 years he was training Jedi and there is a fledgling order who have padawans.

Or

There is a small but unknown number of Jedi living on the down low. The Rebels cartoon shows a hologram of Obi-Wan telling surviving Jedi to hide and "trust the force" and eventually "a new hope will emerge." I wonder if they are setting up a Jedi resurgence. Where Luke or someone else sends a signal declaring the exile over.

 

I like ideas 1 and 3. Skellig Michael looks like the type of place to have a secluded Jedi Temple kind of Shaolin Monks style.

You just got a reveal of 3 pieces of concept art that have been widely discussed... several new cast members mentioned/confirmed...

So assuming we get this "middle ground" teaser where we get a glimpse of the OT characters, not a "sole focus", i would hazard a guess that the next teaser might be a tad more story driven?

 

I'm kind of going to be surprised if we see anything story driven in the second teaser. Then again...it won't shock me if any trailer gives us a real idea of the story.

For instance, I can see them potentially never showing anyone with a lightsaber except for Kylo Ren and Luke (and that assumes that they won't do everything they can to avoid showing him until his big reveal in the film.)

Think of it this way....if you were introduced to Star Wars by watching the PT first, then the Obi Wan reveal would be pretty big in ANH. As would the moment the new style troopers blast through the door of the Tantive IV and especially as Darth Vader comes through the smoke.

So imagine if they legitimately can keep Luke's first appearance hidden from us until the film. It would be monumentally huge.

 

I find it quite intriguing that Serkis' character name has yet to officially revealed, when the others in the trailer have. If he was just a brand new Sith Lord then why not just reveal his name? It's not as if that would spoil anything. The fact that he's Darth Plagueis is why....

 

The 2nd teaser needs to show more of the story for sure yes.
A movie like this needs to sell alot of tickets. Im sure there will be some clearence.

 

I think we'll just get a bare bones premise that we pretty much already know: "Han Solo, his daughter Rey, a former stormtrooper named Finn, and an X-wing pilot named Poe must go on a quest across the galaxy to find Luke Skywalker and seek his help in stopping the evil Kylo Ren before it is too late!"

 

They could never reveal a smidge of story and everyone would still go see it haha. I am hoping that’s not the plan, but its truth.
