Kylo Ren is the worst star wars villain
Ever and an embarrassment. Every time he's onscreen I feel like I'm watching a parody of Star Wars.

Rey is just boring there's nothing for her to overcome shes great at everything. I have no reason to root for her.

 

Fav: Rey
Worst: Maybe Hux. Didn't do much for me and the speech is my least favorite scene in the movie.

 

From the new characters:

best: Poe - but not much of him in TFA - "Finn was decent"

least: Rey - Disney overdone it and portrayed her too perfect (not Ridley's fault)

I agree that he was wasted in the movie, but to put him in the list of the least favourite. poor Max, he deserves better.
For this decision I rated you original.

Edit: Holy *hit you put Luke in that list too, he was not even in the movie, is that the reason why he ends up in your list?
Nonetheless original choices comrade! (I agree with Hux/Phasma/Snoke they were bland, Leia was decent and fan service)

 

I put those in the list who's roles were small, but anyway I accept your rating.

 

Hands down my rating was some kind of original too.

(I agree the folks had small roles and could not shine)

Edit: I got two disagress, because I don't liked how Rey was portrayed.
It has nothing to do with Daisy Ridley's performance, she was fine and did a good job.
I just did not liked her displayed attitude "I don't need help and I can do everything better" (annoying/arrogant I can see her turning)
To be honest for my taste, Disney overdone it with the girl power" theme.
(what can Luke teach her in VIII? not much stuff left, maybe how to shave his beard?

 

Better original than clouded.

Best: I'd say Finn, or maybe it's the enthusiasm of John Boyega that makes it this way. Every time his character interacted with another character (Poe, Rey, Han, Chewie, Phasma)... it made the other character better... and some of the movie's most memorable scene.

Worst: If I exclude the original cast and the cameos (I put Phasma in that category), I would say, gee it's hard, I would say probably Snoke... and here are the reasons why:

- I have the feeling we did not see the true appearance of Snoke yet... but the goal was to make that character really scary and menacing since not a lot of backstory to the character is given at this point. If he was introduced as plain Darth Plagueis, maybe it would be different.

- The delivery by Andy Serkis was, IMO, a little too much "emotional"... I would have loved a calm and chilling Snoke... someone that doesn't need to raise his voice to impose himself... Hux and Kylo Ren should be sweating just by the sight of him... it's not the case, they just tell him how their missions were failure with no sign of fear in their eyes.

And that, kind of diminish the "attachment" that has Kylo Ren for the character when it is time for him to kill his father.

I don't say Snoke is a bad character... I just say, for the moment, it's incomplete and looked like a guy (ugly one) you can go and take a beer with.

I'd go as far as say... Snoke, ultimately, will work as a character in TFA if he's not controlling Hux and Kylo Ren with fear and power but because both characters have been promised SOMETHING VALUABLE TO THEM, so much that they are not only doing the things they are doing... but they actually fight each other to gain that thing.
That's how it looked like in TFA to me.

 

Actually, the guy who plays the leader of that clan who says "Han Solo, you're a dead man".. his performance was pretty poor and little cringy

 

Mostest Favorite: Rey -- Don't care for people's focus on gender, Rey is just the latest awesome main character (among the other newbies) regardless of gender, IMO.
Leastest Favorite: Phasma -- Not really given anything juicy, but also my favorite aspect of the saga is the Force/Jedi/Darksider aspect and she's of the mundane.

 

Fave - Joint: Rey & BB-8 - I'm an OT fan & the fact that I no longer have a need to see R2 or C3PO in Star Wars should say it all

Least Fave - Hux - Gleeson is a fine actor but he really camped it up for Hux. Not convinced, he was better the less ranty he was.

 

I liked his Hux.. The only questionable part about it was the speech, but for me that just showed the feverish belief he had on what they were doing... Reminded me a lot of the guy from the Lost Stars novel, Nash...

 

Best is

Traitor trooper. We all wish we were that much of a boss.

Worst: Phasma....

 

Favorite: Rey, Finn, Poe, and BB-8 (I'm a sucker for the good guys)
Least favorite: I didn't actively dislike anyone, but Snoke was a bit disappointing, and Phasma could have done with more screentime.

 

Phasma really isn't a "character"

She's more like a plot device lol. A figure of Authority that will stand out to the audience so we know they are capable of lowering the shields.

I'm fine with this, but the massive marketing promoting her and making her seem like this awesome character is a massive disappointment to a lot of people which i completely understand.
