    Marvel on Darth Vader 3:

    Darth Vader #3:
    • When a Dark Lord needs help, who can he turn to?
    • Meet Aphra—the galaxy’s foremost raider of lost weaponry!
So Vader seeks help from a female raider of lost weaponry?
Interesting. Especially with all the rumours of lost artefacts and long lost lightsabers playing a role in episode 7 and these comics being the new 'canon'...
Why does Vader need help from this raider? What lost weapon is he searching for and why does he need it?

More likely than not it will have nothing to do with the upcoming movie but I'll be looking forward to this comic all the same.

I guess that must be 'Aphra, the Galaxy's foremost raider of lost weaponry.' Girl looks tough, a bit like a female Han. A Solo with benefits so to speak.
Have them all on my pull list and will chime in when I have read them.

I am so excited for the Star Wars series, seems to have a great deal of planning and detail checks behind it. I see some PT and OT merging from the city-scape as well. I only hope Star Wars #2 can keep with the hype Star Wars#1 is having, but I'll read it nonetheless :D

Those guys with all the tentacles? Dreadlock Calamari?

No idea. Still, love the 'clearness' of the art; It's probably done withount ink and paper and purely digital, but still ...
As much as I love stuff like mind MGMT, this 'commercial' style fits Star Wars. Campy, pulpy designs and all.

I'm very excited about the Marvel comics! I think we have a lot to look forward to in terms of our big 3 being fleshed out by the time they appear on screen in TFA. The Vader series looks awesome as well.

What I'm really looking forward to most are the inevitable new comics set in the ST galaxy, starring the new characters. Probably wont arrive 'till somewhere close to the release of episode 8 though ...

Is Luke basically revealing himself to Vader? I remember in the old comics Vader was possessed with finding who destroyed the Death Star and knew whoever did it was strong in the Force. Other than that, this stuff seriously even looks better than issue 1 :D

The rebels do appear te be a lot more 'gung ho' this time around: the sollicit for issue two reads: 'The Rebel assault on Cymoon 1 continues, Luke Skywalker - cornered by Darth Vader, Han, Leia, and the others - trapped.

Are the rebels on the offensive and the Empire in shambles after losing the Death Star? Probably only for the opening issues. Paraphrasing Ackbar: 'it's probably a trap!' The rebels in constant hiding with Vader and co chasing them around will be back soon enough I guess/hope.

As for Luke zipping by Vader and revealing himself: it's probably something he will learn to regret. We'll learn soon enough, in less than two weeks issue one is released. Fingers crossed.

Is it wrong to think that a comic character looks hot?

Hi boys and girls! I feel grateful to be part of such an awesome online SW family. I'm an American living in Russia. Being as such, ordering physical copies of the comics would be both expensive and a pain in the butt. Does anyone know if these comics will be available in digital format? The novels are easy to access via kindle ... but I don't want to wait until my visit home in the summer to go on the voyage!

It won't take just money to buy all these covers, one would need a crack research team in their basement, working around the clock just to find them all))

Yessir, it's all canon going forward :)

I went to my local comic shop and reserved a couple of the variants. My shop is getting 5 different covers. Apparently stores have to sell a certain amount of previous magazines to qualify for certain covers.
The one i reserved is gonna be questionable to buy depending on how much they decide to mark it up, cost wise. They said it could go for $40-$70.
