    This kind of visual fan-service hasn't bothered me so far, I'm more worried about the dialogue fan-service, and how it will come off, as it can feel forced... (Well, that and another trench run..)

    I think that it seems to be a lot when compiled like this, but this is coming from the marketing material, where there is a major push to say "hey guys, don't worry... this will have a more OT look and feel"

    Second this is just a brilliant thread yes there are a lot of images that are similar to the OT but this is a deliberate policy of the images released so far& is to get the old time OT lover re engaged in the film & then the film it self will hit us with a whole load of new stuff that I hope will stand up to the test of time that the classic images featured do

    It is J.J. and the film makers idea for you to call back in your mind visuals from the original trilogy so that it is easier to connect with TFA!

    It is cool seeing these picture comparisons, and I think the echoes and image call backs to the Original Trilogy could actually be a good thing on the obvious and even the sub-conscious level. It will take a full viewing of the film to see if it plays out well. I am sure there might be more stuff we haven't even seen yet. I know some people have concerns the supposed plot points are similar to ANH, but these films have a mythology to them and and it is the characters that change... the journey they take... that matter.
