SPECULATION Poe Dameron's Role (Oscar Isaac)

I think he's linked to Han in someway. Han may be an Admiral now and Oscar a General in the fleet. I feel that Oscar has feelings for Daisy and Han wants the best for his little girl and thinks Oscar would be the best choice for her. Han see a lot of himself in Oscar. Oscar would be there for Daisy after Han's death.

 

Hmm... I'm leaning more towards him being a scoundrel just like Han used to be. Sources indicate that he is in possession of the Millennium Falcon....

 

Since this is all speculation, I'm just going to go by what I think would be cool to happen. The ideas of him being friends to Han in some way and him being smitten with his daughter are good. Then to find out he is the son of Boba Fett which would add the twist to it all, which of course, now Han would want him to have nothing to do with his daughter, would be good plot folly. I'm probably completely off base but hey......it could happen.

 

He has a face like a clone.

I bet he is either a tropper or maybe a mandalorian. There are rumors of a rouge stormie. maybe Oscar is the dude.

 

There are only three ways imo that he has the Falcon.
1. He is a soldier under Han who has been given permission to fly it while Han cruises around in his destroyer
2. A con man who wins it.
3. A mercenary or bounty hunter who freaking steals it.

 

He is kind of an enigma....maybe too old to be one of the kids of Hand and Leia and too old to be related to Luke. Maybe he is a Padawan? One of the original new Jedi trainees that somehow fell out of the order when Luke disappeared?

 

He's a good actor.

So good it seems he made me not notice it was him in Drive. I didn't recognize him!

I wouldn't mind him as some sort of space pirate.

 

Not a son of Han and Leia. That's the Harry Potter guy, 100%.

Isaac plays a Han Solo like character who just happened to stumble onto owning the Millenium Falcon as it passed through scrap yards over the years. Luke hid something on the Millennium Falcon that brings Daisey Ridley and Boyega to the Falcon. They can't find it, so they pay Isaac to take them to Han, on the ship he commands now. When Han sees his old ship, plus learns Ridley was a Jedi in training who might be the best chance at finding Skywalker, he resigns his command and leads the way aboard the Falcon. Along with Chewie, Isaac pilots them. He and Han have a testy relationship, and Han makes frequent jabs at Isaac about what he has done to the Falcon. From what I heard, the Falcon is not in great functional shape.

Don't know the fate of the character, but I don't think anyone in this film is safe except Daisey Ridley

 

This sounds like a very good plot device to connect the characters and force them to work together.

 

Yep, never heard this one. Very unlikely.

 

Oscar Isaac is such a wild card to me...I'm pretty excited to find out who he's playing because he really could be anything.

Certainly must be some sort of smuggler/Han Solo type.

 

I find it more difficult to believe that the Falcon has been in scrap yards. Really? Han just dumped it in the trash? Okay.

 

Yeah that makes little sense at all. I think he'd sooner use it as a coffin than just trash it. In fact, I strongly believe he will bequeath it to his offspring before all is said and done.

 

I thought a Mandalorian character from the beginning for Isaac, but what about a Thrawn-esque character? I could see him with blue skin and red eyes.

In the article, Isaac reveals that his character interacts with the original team, Luke, Leia, and Han.
Question: Have you had much interactions with the original trio of Carrie Fisher, Harrison Ford, and Mark Hamill on or off-screen?
Answer: Yeah, I have. Both.

I'm not sure the other cast members will have that kind of interaction with the trio—other than C3PO, R2, and Chewbacca and possibly Daisy's character.

 

An antagonist of some sort.

 

Recessive genes . I look nothing like my mother or father but I look alot like my uncle and grand mother......just saying.
maybe Leia dyes her hair like alot of women do perhaps the curtains don't match the drapes....just saying it's possible. ...though I think he would be better as Luke's son.

 

Same thing with Isaac could still be a solo with some recessive genes.....but who knows....not me but I wish I did
