SPOILER Possible Look At Episode 7 Villian

Who do you think it is in the trailer?

 

The "man in the mask" which is the one that looks like Revan's mask from KOTOR. I believe it is Driver under the mask while the "Grave robber" is probably Gleeson.

 

It is really hard to tell who this Sith in the woods might be.My bet is on it being Driver.
Im wondering and are very curious as to his backstory,how he becomes a Sith.If he is Sith as we have come to know it.Maybe this bloke is a Indie Sith.A fan and wannabe Sith with limited knowledge and Sith training.

With that I mean what if he has no master who have trained him.But are compelled by the dark side of the force itself?
Seeking out Sith artifacts and Sith knowledge in his ambition to become the first new Sith lord since Palpatine and Vader and in that way he will be the one who is "rebirthing " and brings the Sith back.Like a new beginning for the Sith...a rebirth of some sort.How this is connected to the awakening of light side,I have no idea...maybe the force talks to him lime to Luke?

In his hubris this evil,twisted and insane wannabe Sith gets in an encounter with Master Luke who beats the crap out of him and messes him up badly..but does not kill him.Since he might be Hans son.But this makes the Sith wannabe become stronger and even more fueld by anger and hate (more so if Luke is to be blamed for Hans death..if Driver is the son)Maybe there is a latent hate in him towards uncle Luke already there (maybe Luke refused to train him despite Drivers ambition to become a Jedi...maybe Luke sensed some danger with him..)..Just brainstorming here guys..

 

Wouldn't that make for a more compelling transformation to the Dark side at the end of the movie? What if there's only the hooded figure in TFA until Driver becomes consumed by anger, hate, and suffering?

 

Thats definitely one possibility but it doesn't seem IMO quite sinister enough, especially with all the rumors about the ancient fear. Unless the ancient fear has more to do with an ancient sith artifact than a person.

 

I wonder how long they can successfully hide the identity of the hooded character. I wonder if driver put on muscle like Hayden did in rots of if they kept him lanky.

 

So people are speculating that Driver is our Grave-robber. While this is possible, this makes me wonder about an important piece of concept art. Warning: potential spoilers ahead.

In the concept art you see who we can assume is Daisy Ridley. But behind our Grave-robber, I thought that person on all fours would have been Driver. So if the Grave-robber were to be Driver, then who could that person be? Based on the person's age in drawing, only person I would guess is Domhnall Glesson but that doesn't really appear to be him.

 

Driver is crouched down next to his master. Or, before Boyega was cast, his character in production art was a generic male white guy... so that could be Boyega. I'm inclined to think it's Driver, because of the ponytail looking bit... also the look on his face is a mix of YEAH GET HER and OH BUT DONT KILL HER which is likely the moment he realizes leading his master to his sister wasn't such a great ideas, for his master just altered the deal, and will likely try to kill both Driver and Ridley if he can't turn her.

 

I'm getting a completely different vibe from that piece. I think our villain was about to kill guy on the ground and Ridley is jumping in to save him.

 

Caution: do not read this if you have not read the Post from a few weeks ago concerning Han Luke and Driver
So the rumor of Luke killing Han seems to hinge on Driver being A Solo son, turning evil at daddy's death. If this were true, why would the teaser show what looks to be Driver in full Sith mode?

 

I don't think the rumor of Luke killing Han hinges on Driver being a Solo at all, I believe it and I am one of the strongest supporters of the Driver is a not a Solo movement.

Think how trustworthy Luke would be after disappearing for 10 years, and he is threatening to kill what may appear to be just a loyal Republic pilot? As a wise scoundrel once said "Luke's crazy"

 

But maybe his presence as being a sith is kept secret. Then when Luke joins on board he can sense the dark side in him. But since he's gone crazy I guess Han doesn't believe him and then all hell breaks loose.

 

I don't think that the hooded person in the trailer is Driver. I think it is Gwendoline Christe. Click on the link and Look at this side by side of a scene with her in Game of Thrones and she walks THE EXACT SAME WAY as the hooded person in the trailer.

 

I don't see a similarity in their walking

 

I have just noticed how similar that concept art is when compared with the dark side scene in the teaser trailer.

Notice the trees on the hillside above the battle?

 

She's too tall.

 

I really hope the villain in the trailer is not Gwendoline. I'm not sure she has the necessary menace to be a great villain.

If I was going to pick any character from Game of Thrones to play a kick ass scary Sith it would be The Hound.

 

Can we be sure that the graverobber is the one with the lightsabre and not the man behind him on the ground?

 

I always thought that concept piece was REALLY early. The saber and the robe are completely different.

Although, there COULD be 2 villains..

The person on the ground could be Han or Luke. That 'pony tail bit' could be the fur of Han's hood.

After all, he IS wearing his Hoth get up in that other concept picture. Also, it looks like he could be wearing a scarf too.
