Snoke training more than just Kylo

I REALLY don't know any information BUT anything is possible when Ep.IX comes out....

 

I'd love to see an eerie non-humanoid villain!
We always got more-or-less-humans: Maul, Dooku, Tarkin, Palpatine, Vader, Kylo. And a lot of people – including myself – hoped that Snoke would be an alien (Muun), but he turned out to be humanoid too.
I'd hope for someone really uncanny ... and I'm not referring to the Uncanny Valley (like R1-Tarkin)!

 

We got Grievous in the PT who was pretty unique. I agree though, I'd like to see more aliens in prominent roles all over film, not just in villains.

I think the issue is getting actors on board to wear all that make up for 3 movies, or maybe they just don't think fans would be as into the story if the main characters weren't human. Sex appeal and all would be hard to sell if the hero was a hutt (but if that's you're thing, it's fine, I don't judge).

Gender and race seems to be perceived as a big barrier for certain fan bases to connect with certain characters, I guess it would stand to reason aliens could be thought to make a pretty big disconnect, especially with the more casual fan base.

 

This is probably an idea the story group came up with. Unfortunately, their ideas are pretty worthless unless a director decides to go with these ideas. Contrary to what their name suggests the storygroup isn't really in charge of the story outside of comics, books and games.

 

Yeah, I have to agree that, unfortunately, this probably won’t amount to anything because the story group probably came up with it, and unless JJ decides to go with this in Episode IX, it will probably just get overlooked until it’s thrown in one of the books or something.

However, I think it would be interesting if they used this as a way of introducing someone like Mara Jade. (I’m not one of the people who is necessarily dying to have her in the canon, but I know she’s a well-liked character among a lot of the fans and it would allow her to be introduced in a similar role to the “Emperor’s hand,” because I know The Last Jedi novel establishes that Snoke and Palpatine did know each other. Perhaps there’s some sort of connection there?)

It would also be interesting if, somehow, Rey was trained by Snoke at one point but ultimately escaped and for whatever reason, doesn’t remember, but to me, this seems like it’s just asking for continuity errors, and her background is confusing enough as it is because so many people still think Kylo Ren lied about who her parents really are.
