I'm right there with you. 100%. I think it is a clear indication that Star Wars as TV series, are evolving. The writing for this season is better. The VFX are better. Better directing, better acting, sets, costumes, all better. The Bad Batch is another great example. That show is getting better and better. The story is great. The visuals are BREATHTAKING.

I'm fully expecting Asokha, Skeleton Crew and The Acolyte to keep moving the needle and resetting the standards for great Franchise series.

(dark)The lack of a Darth Maul & Savage {w/ MECHNO ARM !!) / Pre Visla & Bo Katan / Gar Saxon flashback scene is MOST disturbing.(dark)

I used to joke in the last two seasons that Din's dream is just to be a background character (and not the star of a show), doing Mando things while others have the spotlight, raising his foundling in the covert. That's exactly what he's doing right now--living his best life...or so he thinks.

But we all know that this is a story, and in stories, just when you think you're doing fine and getting by and living the dream is the point where stuff hits the fan. Should be an interesting rest-of-the-season.

I think we’re all conditioned to assume our main protagonist is destined for greatness. When Din got the Dark Saber at the end of Season 2, I immediately conjured up images of Din being the Lord of the Rings version of the reluctant leader, who would unite the Mandalorians the way Aragorn united The West.

But that’s not the story Favreau is telling, which, in many ways is more refreshing and interesting to watch play out anyway. I still believe that when all is said and done, we’ll learn The Mandalorian title refers to Baby Grogu, not Din.
