Yeah, I know what you mean and Luke's character is quite good in the movie. In fact, is not the worst part of the movie. But in my honest opinion, in terms of writing, there are plenty of possibilities to follow what has been stablished. There are a lot of resources and plausible reasons to follow Han's words and the responsability of Luke, in my opinion of course. And again, what Rian thought about why Luke was exiled it's not a bad option, but not the best.
I just was talking about that Rian probably has shown a bigger ego in this situation, and not the same respect, not considering to approach other visions. When I see him in interviews talking about that it seems that what he thinks is the best option for everyone, not considering others opinions. I think he didn't respect much the vision/opinion of the person who has been a character for 40 years. I am not saying Hamill's choice would have been the best but probably some of his opinions could have improved Luke's character and resistance in general.

 

I sugest you see the documentary about the movie, probably you will see better the relationship than Rian and Mark had, during the process. The thing is, Rian is very proud of his work, and he behaves in that way, because he and Hamill already talked about it, for a long time during the filming process, so the subject is not new to him.

Thank you for the recomendation! I haven't seen it. Probably I will see better their relationship (which I always have seen it so professional, specially for Hamill, accepting something he probably was not comfortable with. He did an amazing job).

Solo was very good. They need to fix Luke, Snoke in next ep or SW is lost. Rian made a decent movie, just not a Decent SW me vie.

Good. KMT, love or hate Rose, is a good person and by all accounts a sweetheart. The targeted harassment of her to this point should be the final straw for many of these folks.

 

Same thing happened to George Lucas.
