    What do you guys think? Personally I am of the camp that she is of the Skywalker clan but she is Leia and Han's daughter thus making her Rey Solo. Luke most likely has been in hiding for years and who would the mother be if she was Luke's daughter? I would say it's more logical to say that Rey is Han/Leia's daughter than she is Luke's. What do you guys think?

    I hope she is a Skywalker too. Since she seems to be the main central protagonist of the film and the Skywalker's are the protagonists of the franchise it makes sense that Rey would be Luke's daughter thus Rey Skywalker. It makes me wonder if she is Luke's daughter, did they take the Mara Jade route and just tweak it a bit?

    Welcome to the Cantina, @Lord Skywalker! I think you are asking two different questions- first, who are her parents; and second- what is her name?

    I think she's most likely to be Han & Leia's daughter. It requires much less backstory in a very busy movie, plus reasons having to do with the whole Leia, Han and Luke dynamic.

    Now her name... well, who knows? She has no last name. She can call herself whatever she wants. If she is Luke's daughter, she probably will go by Skywalker. If she is Han and Leia's daughter, I could envision a scenario where she might go by Solo, Organa or Skywalker. It depends on what/who she identifies with.

    They do have a pretty good setup for future Skywalker named characters if Rey Skywalker ends up with Finn (no last name), their kids by default would have to take their mother's last name. Also they'd all be mixed race, which would surely drive the racist fans off a cliff! lol.
