When I watch ESB I always notice how Yoda actually ratchets back the inverted syntax when he's upset.

I like to think of Yoda ever turned to the dark side, is speech would be normal.

I've been on vacation and saved TotJ till I got back home, and today I've finally watched it.

The series is great! I thought it was going to be this small, little thing and I was wondering what the point of it all was, but TotJ was so much better than I thought it was going to be. Yes, it is a show that fills in blanks, but it does it so well and so cleverly that I think it makes me love the PT more. Also, it was beautifully animated, on par with, or even better than, TBB.

    Ep. 1 -- Life and Death (8/10)
This episode was a Star Wars mythic tale. I understand if some didn't get overly excited for it, but for me it was absolutely perfect. Lesser shows would have demonstrated the fact that the baby was Jedi by having it pompously levitate something with the Force, but TotJ instead makes that point with a fable story. Fantastic stuff! :D

One thing, though... The line: "You must face death, Ahsoka. do not fear it." Yeah... that is a set up for Ahsoka bravely facing her own death down the road -- I fear she won't survive Ahsoka, or possibly the major crossover event thing. Nope, Ahsoka is a gonner :(

    Ep. 2 -- Justice (8/10)
This episode was a morality tale. All about it was great and it made me appreciate Count Dooku a whole lot more than I used to.

    Ep. 3 -- Choices (7/10)
This episode was a discussion about philosophy and the meaning of right & wrong. A strong tale, for sure, which shows us another step on Dooku's path to darkness.

    Ep. 4 -- The Sith Lord (9/10)
This episode fills in important blanks and connects TPM and AotC better. Of all the episodes, I think this one was actually important to Star Wars overall.

    Ep. 5 -- Practice Makes Perfect (6/10)
This episode, I'm afraid, was only a filler. It fills out the runtime and it gives some unnecessary context for TCW season 7. Of all the episodes, this one was the least useful. Still, it is fun to see the characters at play.

    Ep. 6 -- Resolve (7/10)
I thought this episode was a little weak in parts. We've seen the story before; Jedi is living undercover among simple people, and is forced to reveal themselves as a Force user by levitating something. Not the greatest of imagination here. However, the battle -- Ahsoka facing off unarmed against the skull-mask Inquisitor and dispatching him with an ease and elegance reminiscent of how Kenobi ended Maul in Rebels -- that was all a big "yup!" :)

Great stuff, this. Hope they make more Tales of the Jedi, and I particularly want to see a Luke arc (obviously) and a Leia arc (it would be interesting to see some more of her perspective on the entire Force thing). Moreover, the format would be perfect for exploring Rey & Ben/Kylo pre-TFA, so I hope that happens, too.

I was not very excited about it but SW new projects always have interesting points to look for.
I saw the 6 episodes last week too.
I found the first one a very poor start (we saw that in Grogu and the message of life and death was very subtle) but I understand it sets the tone of the character that will end the show (and the future series).

Maybe the second one was the best. Really liked it. The tone, mood, atmosphere and characters and it was cool the events were before PT.
The others had something interesting, like add a lot of backstory for Dooku, between PT events, his thoughts and feelings.
But in general I found a lack of animation evolution and redundant ideas. The character movements are pretty the same as first Clone Wars 14 years ago.
Of course I like the way Filoni tells stories but we have to agree (even those who think he has to be in charge of LF, and in terms of storytelling of course I want him too) that he always plays safe (something KK has been punished for but Filoni always is doing right). Same characters, same time line , same animation style. I see no risk here, only in episode 2, that's why is my favourite.
I whish one day he will visit other time periods and invent something new.

    Overall, another nice SW show.

I loved all of these small sets of episodes everything was just, Mwah.

As time goes on though I'm wishing they'd finally move on from this era of Star wars and explore a new and different era. It was also disheartening knowing the fact that they decided to name this show after the comic book series 'Tales of the Jedi', which ran from 1993 to 1998, and didn't include any of the original stories which are absolutely top-tier regardless if they are cannon or not. I know I wasn't the only one who was excited and thought they'd bring some of these Old Republic comics into animation, finally. Regardless, let's hope for some Old Republic or High Republic content.

Overall, another amazing Star Wars show.

I really enjoyed this. Dooku fascinates me, in his fall from grace.

Still dumbfounded how is hair went completely white overnight. Also, are the implications he was still actually in the order when being corrupted by Sidious/killing Sifo-Dyas etc?
