Respawn Entertainment's Star Wars Jedi: Survivor released over six months ago now, but the game continues to gain acclaim and recognition. Today, the Grammy Awards announced their nominations for the next annual awards ceremony, and Stephen Barton and Gordy Haab's soundtrack for the game was among the nominees for 'Best Score Soundtrack for Video Games and Other Interactive Media'. This nomination places Barton and Haab's work among rather illustrious company, given that other heavy hitters like God of War Ragnarok and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II are also up for the award.

The official Star Wars X (formerly known as Twitter) account was quick to congratulate the Jedi: Survivor composers on their achievement:

Today's announcement marks a significant milestone for Barton and Haab, both of whom have been composing music for Star Wars projects for years now. Haab's body of work includes multiple video games in the franchise, starting all the way back with BioWare's 2011 MMO Star Wars: The Old Republic. Barton first lent his talents to the saga with 2019's Jedi: Fallen Order before returning to collaborate with Haab again for this year's sequel.

It's also worth noting that video games have only recently begun to receive notice from the Grammys. The category for which Barton and Haab were just nominated was added to the Grammys only last year in addition to several other new awards.

The event will take place on February 4, 2024. We here at Star Wars News Net wish the best of luck to Stephen Barton and Gordy Haab as well as all other nominees!
