    Star Wars Fan Film Awards

    The Star Wars Fan Film Awards, a celebration of fan creativity inspired by a galaxy far, far away, are back! Entrants can submit their films now through January 16, 2015. The best selections in the categories of Animation, Non-Fiction, Comedy, Spirit of Fandom, Visual Effects, Audience Choice, and Filmmaker Select -- chosen by Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy -- will screen in a special ceremony at the upcoming Star Wars Celebration event in Anaheim in April 2015.

    Hey all you Hollywood Big-Shots!
    If you want to enter the new Star Wars Fan Film Awards/festival contest check out; www.starwars.com .
    The rules & details are on the site.
    In short the films or videos can be up to 5.0 min in length TOTAL. Nothing beyond 5 min.
    The fan videos/films can NOT contain any gore/nudity/extreme profanity etc. think PG.
    There are different categories; fan favorite, student(school), animation, etc.
    The big prize is at the huge Star Wars Celebration events in Disneyland in 2015.
    NOTE; submissions will NOT be returned & any winners/contest film makers will need to provide all travel/hotel/meals/expenses while in CA(Disneyland).

    If you have a good film or want to produce a new video, have at it! ;)
    The contest & fan films haven't been around for several years. To my knowledge any Star Wars fan film from any time or production date can enter but it must be 5.0 min or less.

    My friend is entering the 5min digital animated short film; Droids, The Jawa Adventure. I think they are going to submit a Blu-Ray DVD. Droids is on Youtube.com Vimeo Facebook.com & IMDb.
    Actor Tom Kane did the VO work as C3PO. Anthony Daniels saw it at Disney's Hollywood Studios & the 2012 Celebration in Orlando Florida. He gave it high praise. Daniels also teaches & does consulting in Pittsburgh PA at CMU: Carnegie Mellon University.

    Im entering. Just hope the blaster I use will be ok. Its not a SW blaster just a cheap one.
