[#7] Mad Max: Fury Road (Movie) 2015
Directed by George Miller. Starring Tom Hardy, Charlize Theron

Years after the collapse of civilization, the tyrannical Immortan Joe enslaves apocalypse survivors inside his desert Citadel. When the warrior Imperator Furiosa leads the despot's five wives in a daring escape, she forges an alliance with Max Rockatansky, a loner and former captive. Fortified in the massive, armored truck War Rig, they try to outrun the ruthless warlord's henchmen in a high-speed, deadly chase through the wasteland.

Now that I've seen this it would of appeared much higher on the list but I only saw it yesterday. It looks great but could of used some slower-paced scenes with more character development. For what is shown there is high octane fun however.

    Ergo Proxy (Anime) 2006
    23 Episodes

Earth has been ravaged by an ancient cataclysm. There exists a refuge - a Domed City named "Romdeau," where humans and their android servants, the AutoReivs, live in a state of controlled peace. This utopian landscape is soon shattered by a series of horrifying murders. Re-L Mayer, a female inspector from the Citizen Information Bureau, along with her AutoReiv partner Iggy, are tasked to solve the murder cases. She begins to learn the truth about the mysterious creatures that are simply referred to as "Proxies" and the fate they have in store for the world.

A dark science fiction mystery with philosophical underpinnings. An intriguing, slow burn story and stunningly beautiful animation.

[#5] On the Beach (Movie) 1959
Starring Gregory Peck, Fred Astaire, Ava Gardner, Anthony Perkins

The crew of an American submarine finds temporary safety from fallout in Australia after the nuclear holocaust.

One of the most depressing movies I have ever seen.

    Logan's Run (Movie) 1976
Starring Michael York, Jenny Agutter, Peter Ustinov

In the year 2274, young residents enjoy an idyllic, hedonistic lifestyle within the protective confines of a domed city. The general belief is that when each person turns 30, they are reincarnated for another blissful life cycle. Those who know the much darker truth become "runners" and flee to a hidden sanctuary. When law enforcement officer Logan 5 goes undercover to locate the refuge, he winds up running with Jessica 6 and initiates a revolution.

You may think the effects are hokey by today's standards but they won an Academy Award for visual effects. A classic sci-fi adventure.

Sorry this list was abandoned back in May. Family health problems have prevented me from devoting the time I wanted to this project. I'll at least try and lay out most of the rest of the list as I'm able to find time.
