51st Annual Saturn Awards Nominations Include Andor, The Mandalorian, and The Bad Batch

    The nominations for the 2024 Saturn Awards are out, and they contain a heavy dose of Star Wars. Leading the way are Andor and The Mandalorian season 3, which are up for Best Science Fiction Television Series. Both hit Disney Plus series also had critical acclaim across their respective casts, reflected in having multiple nominations in the various acting categories. Elsewhere, Lucasfilm Animation has the chance to continue its success at the Saturn Awards in a category it's never lost. The Bad Batch season 2 is up for Best Animated Television Series or Special, bringing the total number of nominations for Star Wars up to nine, with Andor receiving five.

    On the film side of things, 20th Century Studio's Avatar: The Way of Water leads the way with 12 nominations. Oppenheimer follows behind with 11. Lucasfilm's Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny garnered nine nominations, including Best Fantasy Film, Best Actor in a Film (Harrison Ford), and Best Film Music (John Williams).     The 51st Annual Saturn Awards will take place February 4, 2024 in Los Angeles and will be streaming live on Electric Entertainment's app and channel ElectricNow.
