Ahsoka Moves Up Two-Episode Premiere Date to Tuesday Evening

    Breaking news ahead of next week's debut of Ahsoka. The series will now premiere a few hours earlier on August 22 at 6pm PT/9pm ET (Wednesday, 2am in the UK). The news was announced along with a video from one of last night's fan screenings. Check it out below:

    On Thursday evening/night, multiple fan screenings were held across the United States, with the lucky guests getting to experience the first two episodes in advance. Below are some of the pictures posted by Lucasfilm:

    Reviews are currently divisive as usual... most are looking forward to episode 3 already, which has a short runtime of 30 minutes, so the groans and grumbles are on there way, nonetheless; we got an early release, perhaps due to some of the positive reception of episodes 1 & 2, otherwise they would have stuck to the schedule... its tough and annoying being a Star Wars fan... HAHA

    A decision like this was made a while back and not based on chatter from screenings less than a day ago. I never understood their release strategy. Maybe they were worried about overwhelming the servers early on so, but this release schedule is better for the majority of viewers and for word of mouth.
