'I'll try spinning, that's a good trick!', said Tony Gilroy. First revealed exclusively by IGN, the Star Wars YouTube channel has released a brand-new promo for the upcoming Andor series.

It consists of a recap of the story that leads up to the series, starting in order of release and in reverse chronological order -- we begin with a quick recap of Star Wars: A New Hope, move on to Rogue One, and finally finish with brand-new footage from the new series that includes the introduction of a very cool ship design that we are seeing for the first time in live-action. Check it out here:

The prequel of the prequel, the spin-off of the spin-off... Andor will tell the story of the formation of the Rebel Alliance. Despite the title of the show, it is said to be an ensemble series that will include characters like Mon Mothma and Saw Gerrera. Stellan Skarsgård’s Luthen Rael is also playing a major role, and if the trailers are any indication, he will be the one that recruits Cassian to work against the Empire, and will apparently be the person that sets the engines of the Rebellion in motion. To find out exactly how and why, we will have to wait a bit more.

With only a few days left before the premiere of the first three episodes, the Andor marketing machine is operating at full scale right now. New TV spots are being revealed almost on a daily basis, with glimpses of new footage being revealed in most of them. The length of the first four episodes also leaked recently, revealing that they will range between 35 and 50 minutes each.

The first season of Andor will be 12 episodes long, with the first three being available to stream on Disney Plus on September 21, and the finale airing on November 23. By that time, filming on the second season will have already started.
