The BBC News is reporting that C-3PO actor Anthony Daniels is parting ways with items from his Star Wars collection. The 77-year-old beloved actor is putting props, costumes, and scripts up for auction.

The most notable item up that's now been sold is an original helmet of C-3PO used onset for the original Star Wars. It was estimated to fetch a price of up to 1 million pounds. It then sold for just under 700,000 pounds. Other items put up for auction included personal scripts Daniels used for dubbing The Empire Strikes Back, pieces of The Millennium Falcon taken after the filming of Return of the Jedi, and other parts of C-3PO's costume.

When asked about why he was parting with the props, Daniels felt it was time that others got to appreciate the items. He states that he'd like for the items to find a better home where others will enjoy them:

Daniels also commented on the auctioneer, Propstore, and how they have helped him put together the collection. He also remarked on how even though he may no longer possess these items, what matters to him the most was the experience of shooting on set:

<p dir='ltr']Anthony Daniels continues to remain a part of Star Wars. His most recent appearance as C-3PO was in Ahsoka.</p>

<p dir='ltr']Feel free to check out some of the items that are still on sale at propstoreauction.com. The auction will go on until Sunday with most of the items finding buyers by Saturday.</p>
