Hyperspace Stories has delivered some intriguing tales about a range of much-loved characters. Whilst the series began with some big names in the Skywalker family, it has now altered its focus to some more minor, but equally as interesting characters. SWNN has a new preview for August 2nd's issue #7 and its lead protagonist, Boba Fett, courtesy of Dark Horse. Check out the synopsis below:

The issue is written by Michael Moreci, with pencils and inks, by Andrea Mutti and Gigi Baldassini, respectively. Colors were handled by Valerio Alloro. With the new preview images, we now have an idea about what this mysterious job is. There will be spoilers ahead.

We have a brand new planet - Ridley - described as being a kind of hub for criminal activity. It does seem presented as rather dark and dingy, with a number of seedy-looking characters and a very youthful-looking Wookiee who seems very out of place. The mysterious voice, which appears to be giving the Wookiee advice, is Boba Fett himself - and look at this incredible image!

Boba Fett continues his conversation with the Wookiee as he makes short work of two Klatooinians. The grungy style of this issue is very on-brand for a Boba Fett story, and it very much suits this classic introductory flight sequence.

This next page is absolutely charming from start to finish. It shifts seamlessly from badass to heart-warming to tragic all in the space of a few panels and is the reason why I am eager to read this issue.

The idea of Boba Fett hunting down a toy for a Wookiee child was wholesome enough, but then to discover he would actually go through with the mission because of the loss of his own father... what a way to get us all invested. I was going really deep into analysing this image for symbolism, pointing out the slight blue colouring on his helmet, which may represent the blue of Jango Fett's armor seeping through -- but one page later, we get a not-so-subtle flashback scene of Boba Fett after his father's death.

Overall, I am really excited to see where this goes, and honestly, I think it could definitely be one of the best Boba Fett stories yet. Issue #7 releases on August 2nd, but in the meantime, check out our review for Hyperspace StoriesĀ #6 here.
