CGI in TFA

There is the original article with the interview. Nobody injected anything to anywhere, its only her words. I know the truth hurts.

 

Like I added earlier: "Still, some people here are pulling the "reading between the lines" schtick and sadly will continue to do so". You're not going to win this argument

Looks like you're the one that didn't win the argument since 1) you were the 1st to resort to that 2) instead of trying to say something back, you decided to concede and be snarky and 3) your argument is weak. You're not getting away with anything here.

You dont need to read anything between anywhere. It was an interview. You know, two people talking. They've written down what she said. And she said:

Nobody injected anything to her words. Its an interview. They've written down what she said and published it.
You lost this ,,argument" before we even started it.

 

I used EPICS on my last film and fully intend to use he new ones. I'm trying to set up a strategic partnership with RED and my company well...planning to set one up once I fix what's happened to me .

Lol I meant a video showing all the practical elements being placed into shots and being built like the CGI video .

Sorry for not taking too kindly to your bad choice of words. My argument was valid and your argument about it's not supposed to look realistic was very weak indeed and you know it.

That isn't aimed at Kraum. It was a simple jest on d-green's posts about how the things made in CGI aren't real. We Brits can only talk in sarcastic tones.

Apologies for the language, I thought that it self censors, like on other swears.

 

Now that's a different issue altogether, and one I can sympathize with.
However, CGI does allow the filmmakers to bring characters to life which could not otherwise be achieved, which in turn allows one to develop a more diverse universe.
If you limit yourself to the human form, and puppets, you miss out on a whole range of possibilities.


With Maz, they were going for "Yoda-like." They could have just gone with a female Yoda creature (Yaddle?), a Kowakian monkey-lizard (Salacious Crumb), or some other existing alien species that uses a person in a suit, but I'm glad they didn't. Sure it would have been interesting to see what they could have achieved with puppets, but CGI Maz still looked a lot better than both the Yoda and Yaddle puppets from TPM. I'm so glad they replaced puppet Yoda in TPM for the Blu-Ray release. I still don't know how they got it so wrong.

With Snoke, I get the feeling they were trying to create an ancient Dark-Side/Force user who has become so physically decayed, that the Force is the only thing keeping him alive. It's based on the idea that the Dark Side eats away at a person and it's something I've been wanting to see taken to a greater degree in Star Wars for a long time. If anything, I would have wanted him pushed even further to the extreme.

Personally, I didn't really have an issue with either character.

 

Fellowship of the Ring has used tehnology Lucas created for the prequels. Jackson by itself has said that in many interviews.
Gollum is created using tehnology developed for creating Jar Jar.

All prequel movies where technologically groundbreaking and that is a fact.

Well sand was real for the most part. And actualy alot of thing you think that they are CGI are actualy practical effects, miniatures.
Clone tropers are not Stormtroopers. They all must look the same. To be the same size and shape. That is the main reason why they where CGI. It is hard to find 100 000 identical guys.
