I hope it isn't because we might get speculation they'll release it the same time as episode 9.

WHAT no one is going to speculate that as it would be completely Idiotic. Maybe a year i.e. May 2019 but no way would they delay it for about 18 months & that's if they then move Esp IX to the May slot.

I really wouldn't mind if it was pushed it back to May 2019. If Lucasfilm decided they needed more time then I'd rather they did that and got this film right instead of rushing to meet the original release date.

The funny thing is that Kristian says that he sees the Han Solo movie moving to May 2019, but guess what movie is also gonna be released in May 2019?

Avengers 4, the biggest and most important Marvel movie EVER.

And right now, the movie is in the same month as Avengers Infinity War, but, sure, Disney won't move it to December because they have Mary Poppins already in there and it's tough competition.

Seriously, I don't know whats the plan, but putting a Han Solo movie in the same month as an Avengers movie, is suicide.

A Mary Popins remake over a SW movie? Yeah that will totally not get moved. I mean if it's a musical the only non men with families who will c it are gays. Not that being gay is a problem. That Popins remake won't even crack 500 million even with the holidays.

    Move MP 2 Thanksgiving.

Yeah Han Solo and Avengers 4 in the same month makes about zero logical sense to me.

I honestly think it was a mistake for Star Wars to give up Christmas/New Year's at all.

The fact they willingly decided lets move to May boggles my mind. And yeah I know May The 4th but still..... Summer is crowded enough as is.

It will still be a great movie month.
