Lay it all out guys, which creatures would you like to see back in the upcoming trilogy?

I hope they still like Chewing on power cables!

A more realistic looking rancor. I'd like it to be tamed by the force and ridden like a battle creature.

With the way they are heading it seems they arent preserving the little lore tidbits lucasfilm put out through ancillary channels in the 70s/ 80s but here is some crunchy bits about the Rancor

they were like a Tatooine boogy man. they had not been seen for so long on the planet they were thought to be extinct. farmers would tell their kids "go to bed or the Rancor would get you"
thats why when Luke first sees it he's stricken with fear and the Force fails him
Jabba had the Rancor for hundreds of years and it was one of the largest ever seen

i know thats not how they were handled in the EU novels or video games but that was the lore originally.

I didn't know they were native to Tattooine. I read in one of the Darth Bane books that they were found on another planet. I can't remember the name of it. In one of the books a rancor is pacified by the force and ridden.

yeah .. i read a lot of science fiction and was never impressed with the EU books .. im not slagging them thats just my opinion.
My friend Mary loved them though so i would often buy them for her (birthdays, Christmas presents, etc) then take her out for coffee afterwards so she could 'bottomline it' for me (this was back before the interwebs >_>)

    i remember the rancor discussion

Mary: it takes place on the homeworld of the Rancors
    Me: Tatooine
Mary: no it was a jungle planet
    Me: *goes into nerd rant*
    :)

Some of the early West End Games Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game (1987) supplements were very well done though

I would love to see the Wampas, again, the way they were meant to be originally, rampaging packs of them. And people will hate me for this, but the nexus, because I love cats.

No question that Power Droid, AKA Gonk, absolutely needs to make an appearance in every single movie.

I heard-read a web rumor that ROTJ's Salicous Crumb has a brief cameo in TFA. ;)

To see the Mos Eisley cantina band from ANH play a # or 2 would be cool.
Tauntauns & Banthas would add some clever suttle OT touches. I'm not sure how Tauntauns could be in it, unless they are on the snow planet(First Order-HQ, Starkiller base). Maybe a herd roaming across a plain or snowbank?
Dewbacks were interesting but may be in background/atmosphere shots.
A living, full scale Krayt dragon in Jakku going in-out of the sand would be neat too.

I'd like to see the space slug (exogorth I think it's called). I think it would be so unexpected if the falcon was flying by an asteroid or some space junk or something and a space slug lunged out!

I would really love to see a Swamp Slug in a SW movie and an Aklay on it's native world.

The dianoga in all its beauty.

IIRC there are at least three different depictions and I'd be happy to see one that's finally "final and official"

I would really like another Acklay appearance. It was my favourite from the arena scene, and it's design was interesting enough that I'd like so see it again.

There are two other creatures that I would really like to see in a SW movie and that's a Lamproid and a Yuvernian! Both were just props that never had any bodies and I would greatly love to see how they would look in a full bodied form in a movie.

Dathomir is the homeworld of Rancors, however they can be found on various other planets like Felucia.
No way that would look and move realistically whatsoever, especially considering how many legs it has.
