It was rumored right after that Disney bought Lucasfilm and announced the ST that they were already developing a fourth trilogy and it would be about Darth Vader and his early adventures under Palpatine sometime after ROTS. But it was rumored on other sites like Marketsaw that there would be not one but two sequel trilogies(Episodes VII-XII) with the first ST about Luke and co's further adventures and the second ST about a female protagonist named Skywalker(Will Rey turn out to be Luke's daughter and the fourth trilogy will be about her further adventures after Episode IX and the Big 3 are long gone?) But that's another thread.

It was rumored on the website MovieWeb in 2012 that a fourth trilogy was already in development and it would be about a younger Vader and his early adventures in infamous black armour. Perhaps in a Vader trilogy we would see Vader get his own TIE fighter(the one that Vader uses on the Rebels in ANH) and have him fight in some awesome space battles in deep space against the young Rebel Alliance or space pirates and/or remaining Jedis in their starfighters and tries to kill the remaning Jedis hiding in other worlds in uncharted areas of the galaxy the Unknown regions perhaps?

It's been rumored recently that an Obi-Wan trilogy is in development and Ewan Mcgregor will return as post-ROTS Obi-Wan and have adventures in other parts of the galaxy and likely in deep space in two films and one entirely on Tattoine watching after young Luke. What is the rumored Vader trilogy and the recently rumored Obi-Wan trilogy merged into one trilogy where perhaps Vader and Obi-Wan are lead characters and Obi-Wan races across the galaxy to save remaining Jedis on the run from Vader and perhaps have a lightsaber confrontation between their infamous one on Mustafar where Anakin was burned in ROTS and Obi-Wan's fateful one in ANH. This trilogy would come out around 2021.

I'm quite torn on this. I think the idea would be interesting, and even present some great adventures, but... at the same time I feel it would seem cheesy to some extent and even cheapen the character as he we knew him in the OT. I think the lessens from the PT are that the overexposure of a character like Vader/Anakin isn't met too well by the fans, and I feel a trilogy dedicated to him would be far too much.

The Obi-Wan trilogy makes more sense though. Obi-Wan was always less about mysterioso and more about being the wise old sage. His isolation and the trials he went through post-RotS would make more sense to portray rather than the in-depth adventures of Darth Vader. For that reason I'd go with your mention of Vader being incorporated into at least one Obi-Wan film. It would make a great story to see Obi-Wan frantically trying to save who he can, only to witness what's left over from Vader's brutality more often than not.

Mind you though, that would be an incredibly dark film, so I'm not sure if Disney would pursue it or not. We'll see the tone of TFA first, which might clue us into the routes Disney is willing to take with Star Wars. I would love to see such a story for at least one film though.

Anakin had his time under the sun (PT+ Clone Wars) and Vader should remain the force of nature we see in the OT, current comic (which is excellent and if you are not reading it, you are missing a lot) and now Star Wars Rebels (where he kicks ass on the ground and in the space). The "master of evil" should remain an enigma - even if we know who is under the mask, most of the other characters don't (as we saw in Rebels) and it should remain that way.

I really hope that we get Obi Wan anthology film though. If we get a trilogy, who says that Vader cannot have a cameo?

If you did a Vader or Obi-wan anthology movie/triology I almost think you would have to keep the two characters separate. Their dialogue during their duel in ANH implies they haven't met in a long time.

"We meet again. When I left you I was but a learner. Now I am the master."
"Only a master of evil, Darth."

    "A presence I haven't felt since..."

    Since when? Mustafar?

    Or, is there another?

I agree. Like I was suggesting, a nice device would be to have their two stories intertwined for a bit, but without any meeting and only with Obi-Wan tracking down the Jedi only to find he was too late and Vader got there first.
