SPECULATION Did Han and Leia know ?

No idea.

 

Ben told them, but they knew that was completely out of character for Luke so they didn't believe him.

 

we don't know how Han and Leia found out that he'd fallen to the Dark side.
it's heavily implied that once he fell he never came home.

they knew enough to know he was Kylo Ren, but we don't know how they knew that.
we also don't know if Luke contacted them to explain what happened.

lots of unanswered questions still.

 

This just makes me hurt when you realize Leia never saw and never will see her son all grown up. Even for Han it was a big deal.

This reeks of a self-fulfilling prophecy if you ask me.

Luke saw a vision of the future where Ben becomes dark, but by contemplating in killing him to prevent it, he actually ensures the outcome.
Ben was still an innocent kid then, but when he saw that his beloved uncle and teacher wanted to kill him in his sleep, I suspect something in him snapped.
His parents probably didn't believe him when he told them and therefore he felt even more neglected.

So there you have the reason Ben turned to the dark side.

 

Leia was pretty calm with Luke. Maybe no, maybe yes.

 

Why are people still debating like there is any meaning of the story plot in sequel trilogy, in the sence that this could have any consequences?
Its sandbox.We go from point A to B, than from B to C, and from C to D.
Everything is random could be or could not be but has no any consequences whatsoever .

 

He didn't try and kill him in the first place. He had a fleeting thought. And to say it is out of character is pretty shallow. Anyone can have a thought...but of course not precious legend Luke...never

People will always theorise and try to find connecting points. Maybe there is or isn’t. I enjoyed the movie and i want to know, I’m curious.

I think IX would’ve adressed it.

 

Remember that despite everyone telling him his father could not be saved, he still insisted that he could, he was willing to give up his life for it, he went to the death star prepared to die, and yes he fought him and got angry but those were his enemies and they were at war, when he finally defeated him he again chose death instead of finishing his father.
Now 30 years later he stalks his nephew and student in his sleep, ignites his lightsaber and contemplates murdering him in his sleep, only because of what he might do in the future, let's remember the atrocities his father had done and he still didn't give up hope that he could be redeemed.

 

I have no reason or proof to back it up, but I feel like Leia knew. Han didn't. I feel like Han hadn't really been significantly involved in Kylo's (Ben) life as it were. Luke says, "Han was Han about it." Sort of like he didn't care one way or the other.

I feel like Leia knew, always knew he would fall to the dark side. I think he found her and proudly told her what he did, why he did it, watched her cry and walked away.

 

It is JJ again tho. He’ll find a way!

 

Mark once pitched dark side Luke and cloning, so...whatever...and the only real redemption came when he was beating Vader's a$$ and seen his hand was cut off like he just did his father's. Then he realized something. Before that not so much.

 

He let himself be captured knowing he was most probably not going to survive just to attempt to save his father.
