Favorite shot/part of the Comic Con reel?

1. The Carrie Fisher picture was more of a relief to me as you worry how your heroes will look 30 years later? She looked great as some type of leader of the military more reminiscent of the beginning of ESB.

2. I liked the scene where Poe Dameron was being escorted by the Stormtrooper after we assume he was captured, and makes you wonder where the story goes in the first act that sets up the events for this new Trilogy?

3. I like the real puppets and alien outfits so far. I always felt some of them in ROTJ just seemed off compared to ANH & ESB, where TFA aliens look more believable.

4. And I love JJ's quote about the falcon, pretty much saying just showing the falcon isn't enough to make a great SW movie, its WHAT happens on the falcon that will make it great.

My favorite part had to be downed TIE from concept to film!

On a side note, I too was relieved to see Leia look so good. That leaked wardrobe photo not too long ago had me concerned.

 

Definitely the prisoner Poe part and the iconic image of the Sith Lord (Kylo Ren) walking down a ramp flanked by stormies, which gave us realizations of prior leaks.

 

I don't know why I keep thinking that's the Falcon's ramp that Kylo is stomping down.

 

Here's my list.
1. The progression of the downed TIE was excellent. It was so cool to see the concept art, then the model, and then the actual physical prop. Not only did it look cool, but it gave some insight of how the process works.

2. Kylo Ren storming down the ramp.

3. Rey in the cockpit of the Falcon during the flight simulation. I though this was cool because it allows her to react to the movements the Falcon would be making as she flies it rather then just acting like she is flying. It was cool getting to see how that is done.

 

Too many favorite parts to name, but that shot of the assembled Rebel/Resistance pilots outside of the Falcon, really got me thinking about what was going on in that scene. Then I realized it might not be a scene at all, but rather a meeting between actors, crew and director. I'm hoping it is a scene about when the Falcon arrives at the resistance base, and our heroes are reunited with Leia for the first time. I'm sure the Falcon's return is symbolic, as she is probably considered to be a hero just as much as Han, Lando, Wedge, etc.

 

That was a very cool behind the scenes pick, along with her 'oh blast' reaction as she was walking up to do the scene.

 

Yeah, that reaction was definitely a "I can't believe I'm getting ready to this (fly the Falcon)" look

That is not the Falcon. If you freeze the frame you can see the shape of the ship is different than the Falcon

 

I kind of like the idea of a scene where Kylo is hunting down the heroes, possibly the snow planet, and he finds the Falcon. He then leads the stormies on board to capture them but then find it empty. Shortly after that, Kylo grows angrier, hence the scene from teaser 1, in which he stomps through the snow covered forest and ignites his cross blade. His prey is close....

 

I am not sure if you have paid any attention to MSW rumors but they do talk of a scene in which

Han, Finn and Chewbacca fly to the snow planet where the FO super weapon is housed and crash lands the Falcon. They leave the Falcon carry out there part of the mission when Kylo enters the Falcon and sits in the cockpit

 

No, I hadn't heard that rumor. Thanks! Maybe I'll get my wish.

Wow that a scary find.

 

The stormtroopers getting blown up in slow motion, that was cool as hell. And i'd like to say EVERY moment of footage we saw, the cinematography/lighting is outstanding.

 

Favorite part...

1. Getting doughnuts
2. Being in Hall H as it happened
3. Getting to see an exclusive concert after being escorted there by Storm Troopers
4. The free lightsaber at fore mentioned concert
5. Getting to see Mark, Carrie, and Harrison in person
