    Just happy that we in next round and drew 0-0, people disppointed expect more from England and saying got no energy and given Americans more chances. This not make England win the cup? by scoring another 6 or more? It not going to be easy, teams will proved themsleves.

    As an American and casual viewer, I enjoyed the game, was honestly surprised Team USA was able to keep up with Wales, much less England. I just don't understand the "draw" and how that all works out, hopefully US can beat Iran on Tues and stay in it.

    Drew seem like failure or something, England may rank high and leveled with USA, what if it Brazil or France? England seem get target when failing maybe it just me. Also very frusrated about World Cup, When England went in they seem to fail, ped to fail and people ingore them, as Germany, Brazil, France, Spain, Argentina, Begium and even Portugal always favorites and seem find easy to get into the tournament. We invited football but not World Cup, I blame the past if England enter first ever World Cup things be different and sad football fans who seem more about club football than nation football. We had good players and improved our football, we shown in 2018 and last year but never enough.

    We're in last 16 and may look be facing France in Quarter Final. But African nation will try shock us cos never know in World Cup. Wales not through, so maybe USA or Japan in the final, but whoever face in the final, as long we won it if we ever get there. I got far in 2018 & last year (Euro), but things never easy,

    Glad to see Japan through even there some cheat like a ball was cross the line with player kick out and pass to the player that put it against Spain, and if Costa Rica won, both Spain and Germany will be out of the World Cup, it been a Shock but do wanted these things to happen, not against England.

    well this is the group stages of the competition so each group has 4 teams & they each play each other & only the top 2 teams go through ( they get 3 points for a win & 1 for a draw) unfortunately for Cameroon they had already lost one & drawn one & with Switzerland winning there game they don’t have enough point to qualify for the next round.

    Ok. Thanks for the explanation. I guess maybe it's the American sports mindset that hinders my comprehension. I can't imagine winning a game like that and still being eliminated. Almost seems like a pointless matchup.

    well if Cameroon had scored again & the Swiss Serbia ( the other 2 teams in the group ) had drawn then Cameroon would have gone through.
    This World Cup has certainly had it fair share of shock results.

    I always go for underdogs but not against England. England need to face and beat teams like France or Brazil to prove to be best, As long we won World Cup don't care how we won it. I gald to see Japan, USA (I do prfer Wales to go through with England), and Australia and South Korea and also Senergal (even we facing them), nothing say for Cameroon and Ghana. Silly reason I go for USA and Japan cos it my favorite other country and had some things I like from there (like anime from Japan and Superheroes invited in US) I been judge by that befroe it annoying.

    I wanted my mum country Philippines to be in World Cup, but never make it, they had their first Asian Cup appearances but lost all three matches in a group stage being in group with South Korea and China.

    If England knockout World Cup over for me and try avoid it as possible. It going to be hard last times try avoid it when England knockout World Cup or Euros, if was everywhere, wanted to leave England for awhile. Sick of carry on with World Cup after England out cos it depressing. and seeing other teams grab World Cup or Euro and think that should be England and sick of seeing pictures (or clips) of other teams with the cup.

    Also sad and annoying that some/most fellow Manchester United fans don't like England and go for other teams, it , make it sick and once a Manchester United fan he don't see Manchester United fans support England. That guy maybe Manchester United fan but he talk c*** and maybe blind. Why not Manchester United fans be fans of England like other nations. I don't agree with all things with follow Manchester United fans even fans of same team/club.

    After Japan, got no other teams to root for along side England. Japan did so well then there penlitay shoot out thought Japan going to win but still no.

    Here we go again. The UK (i.e. English) media have started believing that they can win it. After beating Iran, Wales and Senegal. They never learn.

    No offence or aggravation intended for England fans as I know there are a fair amount of you that cannot abide the tendency for people to become ludicrously over optimistic. Strangely though the news crews never seem to be able to find realistic talking heads in the street. Just moonbeam spouting cheerleaders.

    The fact is that England have not beaten a top international team in good to tournament winning from, and in a meaningful match, since 1966. Results against Senegal and Iran do nothing to affect your chances against serious competition. If they are going to win the world cup this year, they will need to beat three of these teams, in consecutive matches:-

    - France,
    - then Spain or Portgual,
    - and then Brazil or Argentina or Netherlands or Croatia but It will be Brazil or Argentina. Let's face it.

    England play be playing France on Saturday, I believe they can do it, but getting nerves and frusrated cos it a big game and sure England improved but France is seem favourite to win the World Cup. Even I get sick of World Cup heartache which happen alot, but never give up on England there be Euro Championship and another World Cup, if we get new manager hope be good as or better than Southgate. Some/most people will give up England and stop watching England games and don't care or go other teams specially one that look favorites.

    Having that flashback that World Cup 2002 where England beat Argentina with Beckham pentlay and Beat Denmark, through England can do it, Also USA made it to Quarter final, Senergal beat World Champion France (& they finished bottom of the group and out of the tournament) then there Brazil we scored first then Brazil got too crazy, not sure it happen alot England in the lead and other teams seem catching up either drew or win, it annoying. That World Cuo, Englland got good defence but bad luck happen. And f***ing Brazil win and won the World Cup, remeber watching the World Cup final and Brazil left the World Cup trophy and thinking that should be England, England go far and that Ronaldinho, Seamen maybe good goalkeeper but he had weakness goal from far away and happen to him alot, think if it another keeper would they save that Ronaldinho goal? Drew we still drew England may score in extra time or win pentaly (not sure about that). Also remeber talk to Manchester United fans, when England didn't win the World Cup Manchester United win trophy or two, like after World Cup 1998 United won the treble. one or two say England never win the World Cup they say that cos England are out, what if they still in or ebd up in the final. Typical Manchester United fans, I'm maybe a Manchester United fan but most/some are typical. I'm just a fan who love my club and country, not true or fake. Also being realistic.
