To fill the time of SW fandom, I was rewatching "Twilight of the Apprentice" and came to mind that how cool would it be to see an anthology film on the battle of Malachor. Star Wars: The Scourge of Malachor. Jedi vs. SITH battle. Then I was thinking about films on the begining of the force, JEDI, SITH in SW. There is alot of characters and stories you can make films prior to the OT. I was looking at the SW timeline and with Disney adding the likes of Thrawn to Rebels and making unused characters in GL dream canon I wouldnt be mad at films of the Old Republic and watching a young yoda, qui gon, syfo, palpatine. I mention in other threads about films and to me, I wanted to see a SW: Rebel film to finish the story of the crew (yeah we get a season 4 but a film to end it fully) You get where im going right. So i wanted to see everyones opinions and ideas on what Disney should go in future SW films. Hope to see your comments.

May the force be with you all...

Like I said before, I'd love to see them go back to the very very beginning of the formation of the ancient Sith and Jedi Orders. How they came to be and fell to ruin.

I think we will eventually get to that point but not for a little while. Lucasfilm will probably do familiar characters or events for the first batch of Anthologies, stealing Death Star Plans, Han Solo, Obi Wan (very likely), Boba Fett (likely) are all familiar to even basic Star Wars fans. They will take their time in introducing the masses to the larger mythology of the Jedi and Sith. That being said I would love for George to be brought on as either a writer or consultant for an ancient Jedi V. Sith war movie, hell I would give George another chance and let him direct it if he wanted to.
They should do the movie about the final war between the Jedi and Sith that ends with only a small group of a dozen or two Sith surviving but then Bane (who would be the protagonist of the movie) ignites his lightsaber and reveals his plans to limit the Sith to two since the Sith got weak enough to be defeated by the Jedi, he basically tells the group that whoever survives will be his new apprentice, then an awesome sequence of Bane decimating all the remaining Sith leaving only one who he proclaims her Darth Zannah.

R1 is the first SW anthology film and now we are getting Han Solo. I wasn't a big fan of R1, thats just my opinion. Felt, again just me, that the Vader scene was too much if you connect it to the OT films. It reminded me of the LOTS(Lords of the Sith) novel. And with the Leia/Tarkin/Droid add ins like it was just for flair.

An Obi-Wan film, to me, is another hard one to make. In a sense that he is on Tatooine and I just dont see enough their to have him go around the planet just wielding a lightsaber with no purpose. We get Ezra and Maul to meet him in Rebels so hes just stuck there. it will be like R1 to me since OB1 doesnt have enough story to be a film

No Boba Fett film would be different cause we dont have any story on him really. hes a young kid in TCW series and it would be similar to the Han Solo film. It wont be tied to the actual SW timeline but another story in the galaxy as Disney wanted to go.

We will get flash backs on the whole ST but i can see a side film of Kylo Ren and how he became that. I can see it tied to Luke and the failed Jedi academy and a possible back story of Rey(if somehow connected to Luke)

My wonders are stories from way before the OT, with Darth Bane, Plagueis, Qui gon, OB1, Yoda, Dooku, Palatine and the whole old replublic folklore. where the force started, battles, if there was a choosen one before Anakin that possibly died. its all stories that I see will be told and with great planning and detail that Disney has something special by buying GL films.

Then with that they can ad characters from EU or games(starkiller) in seeing that hey Vader prolly does have an apprentice and can base it off the game or whatever story they seem fit.

Its something we all as SW fans think about and would love to see. Novels are good but being SW its so much better as a film.

may the force be with you all...

Revan....Kotor is a popular SW game and still is to this day. I can say the same for SWTOR. There are endless storylines that can be further explored and expanded upon in a series of films if done right. :)

They can all be connected to the SW trilogies. Like you said, if proper planned and done right then I would like to see a film like that. To me the SW saga always has a connection and its a lightsaber. yeah the force but thats doesnt change cause like Yoda said it surrounds us. Seeing a film on how the Jedi started and Sith is intriguing. now with the CG its would serve best with a better SW war film(R1 wasnt really a war film like people say) seeing a battle of tons of lightsabers and people wielding lighting is crazy and adding kyber crystals to weapons sabers we havent seen would be crazy. seeing the first mandalore Jedi. seeing Yoda become a Jedi. Seeing the power of 2 establish.

For now we get han solo and hopefully they add him doing the kessel run in 12 parces on the film and how he met chewie. so much we want to see as fans that we hope we see in the film. If we dont get Chewie then the movies is busted and no towards the end apperance. it has to be when they get the falcon and meet up with him early. or hopefully already working with him.

I assume you mean that he is a much quicker fighter than he was in ANH. For me what R1 (and Rebels) did was confirm a theory I had, that Obi Wan and Vader weren't really fighting seriously on the Death Star. I look at it like it was a conversation with some swordplay in between, so Obi Wan was only fighting to by Luke and the others time. Could Obi Wan and Vader have a bad-ass fight like on Mustafar? Yes I think so, but that wasn't the point of the fight and Obi Wan had already known the Luke would need to be the one to defeat Vader, so he distracts Vader and allows himself to die. Vader might have actually thought Obi Wan had gotten old and weak and was just toying with him, but I believe the Maul fight in Rebels shows that Obi Wan is still quick and could still fight.

There had been some rumors of a Lost Stars film at one point. I think it'd be a neat way to wrap up OT anthologies in a few years before heading into other eras. I know the book has already been made, but I think it could still be good.

I meant by how the end of R1 with the Vader scene then you have Vader at the begining of ANH. I understand the whole OB1/Vader fight but it was just weird to me to see Vader go from 100 to 0. thats all and it just reminded me of the LOTS novel of him ripping ish.

I would like to see a movie about Darth Plagueis or Exar Kun. While it's cool to know more about characters we love like Ben Kenobi, Padme, Yoda and Tarkin, I would prefer it if we got to see more of characters that we mostly know nothing of their stories.

Being a ocean warlord from Eternia myself, I would love to see a SW movie that would deal with undersea races. There are so many aquatic races in the SW movies yet almost non have been seen on their home planets. Aqualish, Quarren, Mon Calamari, Chagrians, Ishi Tib, Crolutes ect are some of the races I would love to see more of in a movie.

It looks Disney And Lucasfilm rely on OT only, they create stories in between original episodes, now we have R1 for prequel to ANH, we have Rebels to show how that idea grown, we have Han Solo - nostalgia about OT in its main idea, we have ST and a lot of canon stuff after Ep VI as a development for OT. We can see some comics only for pre-prequels era events (now Battlefront II too according to trailer), but nothing more. I do believe they will add something more (at least some books and comic series), but c'mon, only fans can appreciate standalone movies for ancient times, it won`t work for people who like films only, at least for now. I've never read Legend stories, but I'm OK with fans feedback about those stories - some of them are flawless (after reading Wookiepedia). And I still know a lot a people who do not really like PT, actually, they do not know what happens there, but they are obsessed with OT, they like episode VII and R1 and we all know the reason.
Thanks to Mr Filoni and all those authors (books and comics) who brought all experience to fans of all ages.

A younger Qui-Gon in a stand alone would be phenomenal, and a mystical journey to boot. Get those Force Priestesses on screen!

An interesting stand alone film would be the story of Zayne Carrick and the Padawan massacre.

Since I don't see a past SW SA films thread, I will post this here ...

How did "The Clone Wars(2008)" get relegated to "the land of misfit toys" of SW film territory. Everywhere I look, there are "8 movies". I know, it's not live-action. But it is a full-length SW film. It's Canon - right? it's very under-rated movie IMO. And if I understand things correctly, Ahsoka is VERY popular - right? So it is very significant in that this is where we meet her for the first time(not to mention Ventriss). So why is it left at the kiddie table?

I second that. I loved it but I know it really caught a lot of critical flak. You mess with our beloved Star Wars and turn it into a cartoon and we go bonkers for awhile till we realize its good.

I think you would have to be careful with that. Imagine hundreds of Sith fighting hundreds of Jedi or something like that. You might risk to make the older movies look anticlimactic in comparison. I would be more in favour small sclae stories (for example Yoda's youth) combined with new, well crafted world's to explore. Maybe even a movie without planethopping but an innerplanet conflict.
