What? Are you complaining about the CGI in TLJ? For me was perfect. Specially Snoke.

Agreed, I skip large parts of TPM but the Duel of the Fates scene is in my opinion the best light-saber fight ever. It's not overdone, fits amazingly with John Williams score and is gripping to watch.

I then skip TCW completely, pretty much unless I watch the end battle but I've grown fond of ROTS par the love scene.

TCW had Anakin complaining about sand though. Can't beat that.

ROTS is my fave PT movie, and that's saying something. The scene in the opera house is amazing. "Darth plaguis the wise". Great manipulation there Palpy.

It's up to the director to tell them it isn't good enough, and that it needs to be redone.. or edit the film to minimize how visible it is.

JJ is the best modern director when it comes to special effects (next to James Cameron and maybe Ridley Scott) and this is why TFA looked so photorealistic for the most part.. he kept the special effects team on their toes.

Also TFA used more props and practical effects than TLJ. C’mon people on here can’t tell me Yoda didn’t look quite right.
The portions guy was pretty neat I think he was a practical effect.

TLJ is all meh we will go the marvel cgi approach we don’t want to appeal to fans of the OT anymore.

Rey, Kylo Ren, Snoke, Finn were all characters that evolved from Lucas’ treatments, according to Pablo Hidalgo

I kind of wish that George would of done a ST instead of PT. He put Disney in a tough spot to work with characters who are way past their prime for acting. Your limited on story wise on what you can do with a 66 yr old Luke, 60 yr old Leia and a 75 year old Han. People wanted to see a Luke that was exactly the same as the end of ROTJ, that can't work when the actor is 65 years old. I'm sure 30 years from now, you'll be way different from what you currently are and for the older ones in this group, i'm sure your 30 years younger self is different from where you are. I think George missed a big opportunity to do ST instead of PT due to the original actors were aging and they would't be needed to tell the story for the PT.

I believe Yoda is actual puppet in TLJ. Theres an article that recently came out stating that they found the original molds for Yoda and they brought in Frank Oz to voice and control Yoda like they did in ESB.

They've got their new demographic, which is kids up to 13 and adults up to 28.. they don't need to make it feel like the classic films anymore.

    $$$

I'm 23 and enjoyed this on one level, but the Star Wars fan in me thought it was lame how they just threw the OT characters, visual influences and practical effects aside. It doesn't feel like Lucas' Star Wars anymore.

Yeah you’re right I looked it up however it was cgi enhanced hence the yuck look

This is a quote from a website I found

‘In addition to the advances in filming, there is also some CGI effects work applied to Yoda during the scene, most notably the effect that gives him the blue aura of a Force ghost. The result here is similar in that when coupled with the puppet, it doesn’t look as convincing as the effect originally used decades ago. It’s a mish-mash of the old and new that never fully gels. Not too mention, Yoda doesn’t appear all that ghost-like, coming across as more corporeal than he appears in the final moments of Return of the Jedi’.

I think people had more problem with him being out of character even Mark said he essentially was playing a totally different character and that Luke would never give up the fight.

Han was spot on and the best thing about TFA I think he was perfect 75 year old or not.

George did initially want to do a sequel trilogy but then decided that Star Wars is about the rise and fall of Darth Vader. So only six films were made and has he not sold the rights only six films would have ever been made bar any spin offs or altnernative media content.

I wished so much we would have seen Lucas's treatment as the ST. :(
